81 | Is cremation right for believers? | Not Specified | Ken John | 110158
Is it right for a Christian to be cremated? I have struggled with this one for some time. Pastors I have spoken to cannot agree on this matter as some say it is unscriptual for a believer to be cremated whilst others tell me it makes no difference. What does God's Word say?

83 | Why are there disagreements... | 2 Tim 2:15 | Ken John | 110065
Greetings Hank, Thanks for an excellent response to this subject. Every day I read my KJV I realise how lacking in knowledge I am concerning God's Word. This is an area that so many "church going" Christians neglect. Bible studies today seem to be an opportunity of socialising rather than getting one's teeth into Scripture. Whenever serious questions are asked in our studies, I am told to keep to the subject which was, at that time, how to "love my neighbour" and lead a better life. To me there is only one life and that is "in Christ" and He will teach one to love others. George Muller is a favourite of mine so thanks for the excerpt from his works. In Christ, Ken John. |

84 | Why is there confusion? | 2 Tim 2:15 | Ken John | 109867
Greetings Makarios, I wish to refer back to this question of studying"dispensationally"that is,rightly dividing the scriptures(2 Tim 2:15)and what does it actually mean? You have given me an answer and I agree with what you have stated. However, since returning to this study website,I have noticed much confusion from many who are looking for guidance. Why is there this confusion? I am of the opinion that it is because they are not rightly dividing God's Word. In his write up "The Basics of Understanding the Bible" Matthew McGee states that the whole bible is written for us, for our learning, but not ALL of it is addressed to us. He also covers what it means to study dispensationally, rightly divide, God's Word. He has an interesting website which you may like to look at as I feel he makes good sense of this subject and has certainly cleared some of my confusion and it may help others too. www.matthewmcgee.org is worth a read. Yours in Christ, Ken John. |

86 | How many great commission ? | Matt 28:19 | Ken John | 109742
Thanks mommapbs for your reply. I am not sure if this is the answer though. I have now found something which may help. The 1st Great Commission(Matt 10:5-7) To the Jewish Nation only - Kingdom proclaimed. The 2nd Great Commission (Acts 1:8) To all nations beginning with the Jewish Nation - Kingdom offered. The 3rd Great Commission (2Cor5:19) Kingdom postponed. I will study these and see what I can learn. Blessings, KJ |

92 | eager to preach the gospel to believers? | Rom 1:15 | Ken John | 109371
In Romans 1:16 Paul writes "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the POWER of GOD unto SALVATION to everyone that believeth;" In Philippians 1:12-14 you will find that the Philippians were distressed that his imprisonment had ended the preaching of the gospel. However, Paul makes it clear that the gospel has instead been extended by his imprisonment. Firstly, he is able to witness to the Praetorian guard of Caesar's Palace. These soldier were the elite of Rome and he was chained to a fresh one each day (see Acts 28:16) which gave him an excellent opportunity to witness for Christ. Secondly, many believers who felt inadequate when Paul was out witnessing, now felt free to speak the Word (verse 14) now that Paul was imprisoned. Today there are millions who need to hear the Gospel and I believe that tools like radio, the internet and, maybe the telly, is one way of reaching these millions especially in Africa, China, India for a start - Ken John, |

93 | What is WWJD ? | Rom 1:15 | Ken John | 109368
Rowdy and Emmaus, thanks for your replies which I will study as "good works" is what I need to sort out in my head. Rowdy you make a good point and I know that my conscience works overtime. The flesh is always looking for praise instead of glorifying our God. I need a lot of prayer. By the way, what is WWJD? Blessings, KJ |

Ephesians 2:9-10 is where I need better understanding as verse 9 (KJV) reads "Not of works, lest any man should boast." However verse 10 tells us "unto good works" What does good works actually mean ? I would really like to get a clearer picture. KJ

Greetings mommapbs, you can read my personal profile if it be your desire. I don't understand how it will help you as I am a rotten sinner and constantly pray to Jesus for more Grace. You see I too have my thorn in the flesh. In Christ, KJ.
98 | The Transfiguration of Jesus ? | Matt 16:28 | Ken John | 109256
Okay maybe I need to study these verses again and clear my mind as to what I was attempting to convey about the Humanity of Jesus. Yes they met God but there is more to the Transfiguration. Maybe this is a picture of Jesus showing Peter,James and John their future; as was the case with Moses and Elijah. These disciples are today with Jesus as we will be one day. When they had come down from the mountain, they get back to lunatic earth and a lack of Faith as is evident with many of us, Matt 17:14-20. KJ
99 | Is Bible study important? | 2 Tim 2:15 | Ken John | 109188
Brother Hank, I would not be asking questions and reading the many, some good and interesting and some poor, notes in answer to questions on this sight. Time, my brother, is a very valuable commodity and more so as one ages so I do not waste what life our Holy God has given me in reading nonsense. With God's help through prayer and the Holy Spirit's guidance I will continue to"Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth" Yours in Christ, KJ |

100 | The Transfiguration of Jesus ? | Matt 16:28 | Ken John | 109116
Hi Emmaus, Do you not believe that the humanity of Jesus was transfigured? The Transfiguration sets forth his perfect humanity. Moses represents the Law and Elijah was the representative of the prophets. In Peace, KJ
