61 | For this cause shall a man leave father | Matt 19:4 | Ken John | 110615
God created Adam and Eve,a male and a female. My question relates more to Matthew 19:5"And said, for this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?"(KJV) Since neither Adam nor Eve at this time had a mother, why do you think God explained marriage this way? He must have had a good reason? |

62 | How to "win the world" ? | Bible general Archive 2 | Ken John | 110550
Greetings Mommapbs, I agree with the sentiments you expressed to Rowdy "Is nothing sacred anymore?" There was a time when one could sense the "Holiness" of Church. I loved singing those wonderful hymns and sharing in prayer and fellowship thus honouring our Great God.One came away feeling that God had truly blessed our worship. I can't find the words to express how wonderful I found "church." Why is it now so different for me? Many a Sunday I dread the thought of battling to concentrate on a message that is often out of context so I ask "who is being honoured here, God or man?" Prayers are about our selfish needs and why is God not answering? The songs lack the spiritual beauty of many of those old hymns and are repeated over and over again. But the people love them it would seem. Is it me or is it that the standards are being lowered in every way? I told my pastor that Sunday is the greatest day for the devil because he is having a field day watching the "church" flounder. Since coming to North America, I realise that the "church" here is far weaker than I had expected. It is weak..spiritually. Many pastors fail in their duty to bring the Gospel's message of salvation to sinners like us. They prefer to keep the members sweet. Increasing membership has a high priority. It is very sad! God's Word warns us doesn't it? This is the Evil Present Age in the Dispensation of Grace. Until He comes again, Ken John. |

Brother New Creature, Thanks for putting me straight. You can still love your Father though. I love your favourite verse Isaiah 26:3 (KJV). Mine is Philippians 1:6 "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." May God Bless you my brother. In Christ, KJ |

66 | Why did the KJV include these verses? | Bible general Archive 2 | Ken John | 110458
Greetings Tim, As you are probably aware there is much debate on the question of the various bible versions and I am sure that you, as a student of Scripture, have the ability to find the answers you are looking for in 1) and 2). Study and pray and you will find that the King James Authorised Bible is a pretty accurate translation. Many cannot seemingly walk by Faith. They want proof! I believe that we have ample proof that the Authorised Version is the very Word of God, preserved and given to us in the English language. God promised to preserve His Word! Read Psalm 12:6,7. Also 1Peter1:25 and Luke 21:33 From my heart I say to you, that WORD is nearer to you than you think! I believe it is the Bible,The Authorised Version, or the commonly termed King James Version. I am a Fundamentalist and KNOW that God wrote a BOOK. The Conservative believes that God wrote a book. The New Evangelical thinks(with much question and misgiving) that God might have written a book. The Modernist and the Liberal say that "The Bible contains the Word of God, but not all of it is His Word." If the KJV is not the book that God wrote, where is it today? Brother Tim, time for all of us is valuable so is it not more beneficial for us to rather spend it on studying God Word,as Paul advised us in 2Timothy 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto GOD, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." Amen and AMEN. Your brother in Christ Jesus, Ken John. Philippians 1:6. |

Greetings New Creature, Thanks for your message and your dad seems a wonderful guy so treasure and love him. I suppose we all try to walk with Jesus every day but fall by the wayside more often than we will admit. May I suggest that you stick to the KJV as it truly is God's Word without corruption. You will be blessed one day believe God. In Christ, Ken John. |

Greetings Kalos, Thank you for your explanation and the website which I often refer to, thanks. As you will appreciate I only use the KJV for my studies but sometimes brouse other versions out of interest. Debates re other versions are time consuming and not sometimes profitable for study purposes. There is so much to learn of God's Word thus I prefer to stick to KJV and the commentaries of learned men who have studied the Word of God for many years. In Christ, Ken John |

Greetings Tim, I don't have any problem understanding point 4. Reading 2Tim 2:15 clearly says "study" (KJV) In Strongs "spoo-dad'-zo"(G4710) to use speed, that is, to make effort, be prompt or earnest: diligence, be diligent (forward), endeavour, labour, STUDY. God's Word says "study" so who am I to say otherwise. In Christ, KJ. |

71 | Why did the KJV include these verses? | Bible general Archive 2 | Ken John | 110393
Greetings Tim, To answer your question, the Authorized King James Version included these verses because they are the very Word of God preserved to this day. In Psalm 12:6 read "The Words of the Lord are PURE WORDS: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times." Paul describes the inspired scriptures as "words.....which the Holy Ghost teacheth."(1 Cor 2:13) In terms of Jeremiah 23:30, the many modern versions being promoted today truly steal God's Word from the people. They are corruptions of God's Word. Nearly all Bible Societies today are producing bibles from the corrupted Westcott-Hort texts therefore they are not truly God's Word. Others, however, like the Trinitarian Bible Society, are printing Bibles in many languages of the world from the Textus Receptus only therefore they are truly God's own Inspired Word. I trust my brother that I have given a clear explanation in answer to you. In Christ, Ken John. |

Greetings Tim, Thanks for your kindness in giving me guidance regarding this website. However,I have read and learnt some interesting facts from it. So far the facts stated by them have proven accurate so until proven otherwise I cannot discredit them. I appreciate your warning about bible codes and numerics but I am not concerned with that aspect. ONLY the study of the Word of God. I have every confidence that the King James Authorised Version is more accurate than any other version. My only regret is that more churches(including my own) don't use it to teach the Gospels but then they have to cater to the majority today. In Christ, Ken John. |

Hi Kalos, Here is another example in NIV/others: In Acts 8:37, the King James reads,"And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God." The modern versions all edit out the entire verse! One of the best verses in the Bible on salvation through Jesus Christ and they edit it out! Why is it that every time a sinner is saved by grace in the book of Acts - THEY ATTACK IT? In Acts 9:5,6: Paul is getting saved, and they take out 20 words! In Acts 16:31 when the Philippian jailer is getting saved, the word "CHRIST" is delicately removed! Why do these new bibles so fiercely attack God's wonderful plan of salvation? They take out: Romans 16:24, Mark 11:26, Acts 15:34, Luke 23:17, Acts 28:29, John 5:4, Mark 7:16, 9:44,46 and many, many more - as your Bible is literally cut apart! Jesus Christ says, in Luke 4:4, ". . . It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY WORD OF GOD." Not according to the NIV, NASV, NRSV and ! In fact, they even "tear out" the last half of Luke 4:4 - "BUT BY EVERY WORD OF GOD"! Yes, but the new versions have the deity in other places. They contain the plan of salvation in other places. There is good in them. Did you know ONE tiny, microscopic AIDS virus will "defile" a whole batch of perfectly "good" blood? It has some "good" in it - BUT IT WOULD BE DEADLY! Would you "inject" it into your child, loved one or congregation? And would you "inject" them with a Bible that is "defiled" because it has some "good"? It could be far more costly than their physical life - THEIR ETERNAL SOUL! Galatians 5:9 says, "A LITTLE leaven leaveneth THE WHOLE lump." Brother Kalos, if you want more examples I have them. In Christ, KJ. |

Hi Kalos, Yes I would be able to give you examples in the NIV. Here are some and there are many more if you require them. #1.The lies in the modern versions go much deeper than erring on who killed Goliath. They, like the Mormons, confuse Jesus with Lucifer. In Isaiah 14:12, we read: "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!" The verse clearly talks about Satan, called Lucifer before he fell from heaven. There are few credible scholars who question this matter. Yet, the modern translations all read, "How you have fallen from heaven, O Morning Star, son of the dawn. . ." The "modern versions" change "Lucifer" to "Morning Star". Has the devil suddenly changed his status and become some kind of a good guy? We rather doubt it. The use of "Morning Star" concerns us because of Revelation 22:16: "I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star." Jesus calls himself the "bright and morning star" so calling the devil that in Isaiah must be an incorrect translation. #2. The clearest example is in Psalm 9:17: which says,"The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God." The NIV reading,"The wicked return to the GRAVE . . ." is clearly absurd, for we all "return to the grave." The issue is what happens to our soul after we die. The devil would prefer that we not think about that place called hell. In fact, he would rather call it something else. So instead of using the word Hell, they come up with the nice Greek word "Hades" (also a place in Greek mythology) or Hebrew "Sheol," which is not the same as Hell.(See Matt. 16:18, Luke 16:23, Acts 2:31 and many, many more, the "NEW King James" does this 29 times!) Rather than translate into the obvious word hell - THEY REFUSE TO TRANSLATE IT! When the translators are questioned about this, they contend "this is a better translation" and are "easier to read" and "understand"? Who in their right mind thinks the words Hades or Sheol is "easier to understand" than the word Hell? Why didn't they leave in the Greek word Ouranos for heaven? It's obvious! Because someone is trying to remove and cast doubt on the place called Hell! #3.The King James Bible in Luke 11:2-4, reads,"And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil."Incredibly, the "modern versions" take out: "which are in heaven," plus they remove "Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth," and most interestingly "deliver us from evil." Heaven is completely removed! To believe these "modern scholars," God is not in heaven and does not deliver us from evil. This is sounding more and more like a demonic program from hell itself. #4.The King James Bible is the only English Bible in the world that has a command to "study" your Bible! That's right! 2 Timothy 2:15 teaches us to: "STUDY to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" The "modern bible translators" apparently think that Bible study is not so necessary. The program is apparent here. Just go to a church, sit in a pew, and let the preacher "enlighten" you. Also, it will be easier for you to accept the beast system when it comes. Sorry I had to cut this short as I have exceeded the number of words I am allowed in a note. In Christ, KJ. |

Hi Jackson, It is pleasing to note the good responses you have had about the NIV and other bibles. If you are a new Christian you will enjoy the NIV as I did for many years. Later you can switch to the KJV although I note some find the NASB a good one. I say as long as your heart is right in that you are walking with Jesus you will be blessed by God's Word whatever the version. If you pray for guidance, as I did, God's Holy Spirit will guide you and teach you to be in God's Will. IF you are interested to learn more about bible versions, I find the website www.whitestone.info/bibleresearch very informative. There are others but I will not burdon you with too many of these now. Blessings brother, KJ |

Hi Jackson, Welcome to this study. Personally I would not purchase the New International Version (NIV) bible. As a new believer I used the NIV because it was easy to read compared to the King James Authorised Version. The reason I give is because of the errors that have been reported by many so called experts. To give you a full back ground you will need to look at a few of the websites covering the different versions. I don't have them handy but will look up something for you and come back. In the meantime, I am sure others on this study will have some input for you. In Christ, Ken John. |

79 | Is cremation right for believers? | Bible general Archive 2 | Ken John | 110191
Thanks brother EdB for your comforting reply to my question about cremation for us believers in Christ. I feel that what you have written is realistic as our bodies return to dust. Some of us are burned in house/car/forest fires, drowned or blown to pieces so who know what condition we eventually end up in. Pastor Perry Rockwood of Halifax has this to say about cremation. Here is an extract for you info. "Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price:therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's(1 Corinthians 6:19-20).One of the great Bible doctrines which has almost been forgotten in the last few years is the sanctity of the Christian's body. This text plainly states that our bodies are not our own to do with as we please. They belong to God because of creation and redemption. They are holy because they are cleansed and sanctified by the blood of Christ. They are also temples of the Holy Spirit and members of the body of Christ. These and many other Bible statements clearly set forth the truth of the divine ownership and sanctity of the Christian's body.In dealing with this question of cremation we must not ignore the positive statements of Scripture if we would sincerely seek the Christian position on this issue. We know that in many localities a question of this kind is of little importance. In places far from large cities the question of cremation is seldom,if ever, raised; but in thickly populated areas this is not the case. When a relative passes on, the question comes up: shall it be cremation or burial? Questions have been asked by intelligent people: Is it wrong for a Christian's body to be cremated? Is it true that the body comes to life in the process of cremation? Recently, I was asked, "Why is cremation unpopular in Christian lands?"I frankly admit I have not the last word on these questions, but confess I have given serious and prolonged thought to the question of Christian burial. What I may say is not the result of an overnight meditation or snap judgment. This sermon has been called forth as a result of questions put to me by sincere people and also because of doubts and questions in my own mind over a period of years. I am giving what I have gleaned in the hope that others will find the answers to their questions on this subject." I have only quoted some of his lengthy sermon on this subject. His website www.tpgh.org/archive will give you the full story for anyone who would be interested. In Christ, KJ |

Thanks Emmaus, I appreciate your help and will study the websites you have given me. Cremation versus burial is something that has troubled me ever since been informed that cremation is not right for Christians. However,EdB has really given me encouragement. Have you read his reply, it's a good one. KJ |
