2801 | Only seal and horse in same verse Rev6:5 | Bible general Archive 1 | srbaegon | 18712
Tim, Casiv has a valid observation in that certain numbers turn up again and again in particular areas and ways. However, you make a valid point that men too often take this to extremes as the bible code people did with their work. Steve |

2802 | Ez. 13:20 and the Rapture? | 1 Cor 15:51 | srbaegon | 18711
Casiv, You might want to reread Ezekiel 13. The KJV is plain in stating that the Lord was releasing souls being hunted so they could fly from those trying to ensnare them. There is no hint of "teaching others to fly." Steve |

2803 | A husband's responsibility | 1 Tim 5:8 | srbaegon | 18682
This passage jumps to mind. Also important to remember is that God gave Adam the responsibility to tend the garden (Gen 2:15), not Eve. Steve |

2805 | When did the day of worship change? | Acts | srbaegon | 18598
Actually, the day of worship never changed--it is always today. I assume you are asking: When did the regular assembling of God's people for worship change from Sabbath to Sunday? Imeediately after Pentecost the believers met daily (Acts 2:46-47). It wasn't until sometime later we see a pattern of a specific day being used (Acts 20:7; 1 Cor 16:2). Steve |

2807 | What is God doing in Rom 1:24, 26? | Rom 1:24 | srbaegon | 13146
Basically, God is withdrawing any restraint on these indivuduals so that they throw themselves into the basest forms of sin--letting them go where they desire most to go. The only way to prevent God from doing this would be to bring those lost ones to Christ. But if they are at this stage, I doubt they would want to come. Steve |

||||||
2810 | Holy Spirit without evidence of tongues? | Acts | srbaegon | 9749
It means you are a normal Christian. 1 Cor 12:10,30 clearly show that not all believers were intended to have this. Steve |
||||||
2811 | Does this apply to todays tattoos? | Lev 19:28 | srbaegon | 9744
The people of Israel were to be characterized by outward, physical differences from the nations around them. That's basically the reason for both this command and circumcision. So to answer the question, it was for all tattoos. For Christian application, you need to ask the question: Am I doing this to be like unbelievers? This is not just for tattoos, but for anything we do in life. We are called to be nonconformists to this world. (Rom 12:1-2) Steve |

2812 | TV Show "Crossing Over" - Dead Speaks? | Deut 18:11 | srbaegon | 5610
Well, if he IS communicating with the dead, they would have to be believers, because the unbelievers are suffering in torment. But I doubt they are (were) people. More likely they are deceiving spirits.
2813 | Elder must be 'the husband of one wife'? | 1 Tim 3:2 | srbaegon | 5601
Basically, it has to do with your last phrase--faithful to his wife, being a 'one-woman man'. The passagein question has to do with the elder's home life, if conducted in a godly manner.
2814 | I need answers to several questions . | NT general Archive 1 | srbaegon | 5599
1. There's no reason to change. Men are to have the leadership (1 Tim 2:11-12). 2. God used a variety of ways to share His word (Heb 1:1). With the completion of the canon of Scripture, there's no need for God to continue in the same way. 3. Scripture doesn't say. 4. We do it every Sunday as the custom in Acts 20:7. |
