2721 | Is the milenium literal or figurative? | Revelation | CDBJ | 74666
Hello Italian_Honey, and welcome to the forum. Your question, “Is the millennium literal or figurative?” I am going to tell you that it is just as real as a heart attack. Do you understand what I mean? I’m sure you know about heart attacks. I just used what is known as a figure of speech to convey a point to you. There are many such figures of speech that are used in the book of Revelation. I didn’t say it was a heart attack, because I used the word “AS” to show the comparison. This sets up what is called a SIMILE. There are many figures of speech like this through out Revelation some are easer to spot then others. There are metaphors and some real hard ones to spot called idioms. It is the use of these figures of speech that make it tough to understand sometimes but yes it in fact going to be a real situation and my hope is that people will have taken the proper steps to be ready when it all comes to pass. The best thing that we can do is to put our undivided trust in God’s plan. That plan involves His precious Son Jesus Christ. God promises those that completely trust in his Son the gift of eternal life. Ephes. 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. 1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. There will be a real tribulation and a real millennium that will follow after God's wrath. Have a nice day, CDBJ |

2722 | Is Saddam the anti-christ? | Revelation | CDBJ | 76258
Greetings PJC, the antichrist will make a seven year covenant of safety with Israel. I can’t personally see the Jews trusting any one like Saddam. It will be some charismatic individual that has joined three nations together and the three are using him as their single leader along with the help of seven other nations he will promise peace and safety to the Jews but after 42 months they will realize it was a treaty with death. Daniel 9:26-27 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. |

Hi Buckeyes, that sounds like a Good Ohio name, and welcome to the forum. You might be thinking of the situation that is found in Rev. Rev. 4:7-8 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. [8] And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. 2729 | Is pre-tribulation biblical? | Revelation | CDBJ | 173506
The pretrib position is, as it were, the Johnny come lately of the rapture theories being the teaching of John Nelson Darby; it wasn’t being taught before 1827. The main objectic the whole thing is what actually constitutes the wrath of God? We shouldn’t confuse the worst of mans actions with the ferocity of God’s final wrath against such actions? True believers in the Lord Jesus Christ will never undergo the wrath of God but that doesn’t mean that we are exempt from the wrath or vengeance of the “adversary” of God. 2 Thes. 1:5-9 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: [6] Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; [7] And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, [8] In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: [9] Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; As believers in Christ we are going to be the target of tremendous persecution in the final days, but the Lord is going to turn the tide on those responsible for our trouble. No secret sneak us out situation but the most glorious display of the power of God that the world has ever seen. The believers will be snatched up and away, and then WHAM, God will hit the earth with fire delivered by His special angels. 2 Thes. 1:10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. The previous verse tells you when God’s wrath is ordered. The "very same day" he come for his own and they will all witness and admire the wrath of God being poured out un the remaining unbelievers. The key to God’s wrath is a great fire show, that believers will be looking down on, the instant the rapture takes place, and the unbelievers will be looking for a hole or a cave to hide in where they might be safe. Rev 6:15,16 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; [16] And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: [17] For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? Rev. 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. Lot thought he had a rapid departure; it was so close that Lot come close to burning he shirttail when he left Saddam but he was on foot. Luke 17:28-29 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; [29] But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Don’t confuse the vengeance of the adversary with the final burning of God’s wrath. There is a vast difference between the wrath of man and the wrath of God which is soon to follow. CDBJ |

2730 | Is pre-tribulation biblical? | Revelation | CDBJ | 173534
Hi Justme: As "pretrib believers" we are completely oblivious and are disregarding the warnings by Christ and Paul with reference to the last day and all that will happen. Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. Example; pretribulation position. The following warning by Paul isn’t directed toward unbelievers; they need the gospel message not a warning about the man of sin! 2 Thes. 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; If we are going to be caught up to meet the Lord in the air before the tribulation, and the antichrist, or man of sin, then it wouldn’t be an issue in the Christian’s life and there would be no need for a warning; but that’s not going to be the case. There are so many believers that have been lulled into the nonsense of the pretrib position that when things start falling apart in this world they will think that the doctrine of the rapture is false along with the message of Christianity and there will be a great falling away, just as Paul stated. Peter even speaks of the great faith required before the time that Christ will appear. 1 Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Believer always talk about Christ coming like a thief in the night but they fail to recognize that He only comes as a thief in the night to those that aren’t looking for Him, to the unbeliever. "They" and "them", in the following verse is a reference to unbelievers “not” believers. They, the unbelievers will be saying peace and safety, while the believers are being put through the ringer, as it were. 1 Thes. 5:1-3 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. [2] For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. [3] For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. Believers are told to be looking for the signs and seasons of the end times and as a result they will be very eager to see the Lord's return. 1 Thes. 5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Matthew chapter 24 is truly the time of Jacob’s trouble but it also is a signal to believers in Christ that Jesus return is very near and that we should be ready for the onslaught of the man of sin. Matthew 24:29-31 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: [30] And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. [31] And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. The way I see it, the rapture and the wrath of God are two events that occru on the same day, one right after the other. We don’t know the exact day or hour but we sure will know the seasons. 1 Thes. 5:1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. Luke 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? There won’t be any pretrib believers then, CDBJ |

Hello 2Tim215 and welcome to the forum, That’s an interesting point but where exactly is that found in Revelation, “where we peer through a darkened glass" and your "assumptions" are proven. 2 Tim. 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2734 | Will we have flashbacks of the past? | Revelation | CDBJ | 180349
There you go 2Tim215, I was just taxing your thinking a little on those, looking through the glass; you pegged it. The only problem now is your “assumption” ideas, in the book of Revelation; notice, no (s) on the end of Revelation. Scripture points out that those judged in Rev. 20 are of the dead verity and there isn’t any indication that any of them are believers in Jesus. No sins are mentioned at the white throne judgment, Jesus paid for all the sins when God judged him on the cross. 1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. The only thing that Jesus didn’t pay for was “mans rejection” of God’s solution for mankind in the person of His unique Son. The basis for the indictment of those at the white throne judgment is the rejection of God’s Christ, Jesus. John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Since those to be judged are there on the basis of their works, it appears that they relied on their own works instead of Christ’s work and God clearly points out to them that their works are worthless by comparison to those that Jesus performed on the cross. 1 Cor. 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. Rev. 20:11-15 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. [12] And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. [13] And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. [14] And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. [15] And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. In effect, those at the white throne judgment have their works placed on God’s balance of justice. Jesus’ work on the cross is on one end of the scale and the unbeliever’s works are placed on the opposite end, and their works are found wanting, or come up short, to say the least. And if that isn’t proof enough for them there is evidence in “the book of life” that, those in review don’t have their names listed. People can believe what God is telling them now, in His Word, or they can believe it when it’s too late! No matter when people believe God the results of the Bible will be; Philip. 2:10-11 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; [11] And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. 2Tim 215, here is one for you: Which member of the Trinity is doing the judging at the white throne judgment? Nice talking with you, CDBJ |

2735 | in rev 7:9 what significance do the palm | Revelation | CDBJ | 187825
Hi Shantrell and welcome to the forum, Here is a section from the Revelation Commentary, which is a great help and it's free. a good one to save as a favorite. http://www.revelationcommentary.org/ 8. Palm branches in their hands immediately reminds of us of the Lord’s entrance into Jerusalem days before His death. The palm frond is an ancient symbol of victory. That these individuals are no doubt waving them before God the Father and God the Son suggests a celebration is taking place. John 12:13 records a similar event. The multitude waved palm fronds before the Lord as He rode into Jerusalem. They said, "Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord (God the Father), even the King of Israel." 2736 | Tell satan's job when he was in heave | Revelation | CDBJ | 188894
Greetings Bauhinia and welcome to the forum. I had that same question years ago along with several other verses. Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. Tie that with Rev. 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. It was explained to me that Satan and all the fallen angels have already been judged but that Satan is going through the appeals process before his execution is carried out. I can’t verify that with scripture but it makes sense to me. But there is a time coming when his execution will be carried out and Satan knows when his numbers is up when the war takes place in heaven and he is grounded. Rev. 12:12-13 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. 13And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. (A reference to Israel and Christ Jesus) Satan will have his last hurrah by going after God’s elect knowing that his time is short. i.e. forty two months or three and a half years left. Rev. 12:12 (B) because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. The elect or saints will have their chance to suffer for the righteousness that they have in Christ and be accounted worthy when the following takes place. Rev. 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. Here is what is referred to as a near far application or type and antitype by those that suffer persecution. 2 Thes. 1:4-7 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: 5Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: 6Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; 7And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, The saints of church of Thessalonica are a type of what will later take place with saints all over the Earth in the latter days after Satan is cast down. Jesus describes it this way, Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 2737 | Tell satan's job when he was in heave | Revelation | CDBJ | 188896
Where does it say that those in Jude 6 are moving about? Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Compare that "specific group" with the following. Genesis 6:2-4 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. 3And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 4There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. Who were the sons of God? Type (sons of God) in the search box on the right side of the home page and you can spend hours researching the question. I'm not the one who isn't convinced you prove your point and I will believe you. God's Word, the Bible doesn't have any mistakesd in it so make what you're saying fit! Have fun, CDBJ |

2738 | which book about satan castout of heaven | Revelation | CDBJ | 190108
Greetings and welcome to the forum. I believe you might be looking for the verses in Revelation. Rev. 12:7-17 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, 8but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. 9So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. 12Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time." 13Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child. 14But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. 15So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. 16But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. 17And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Hi Starfire, I don’t thank that is as confusing as, “2 Is 14:12 "How you have fallen from heaven,” Just kidding, I knew you meant Isaiah 14:12. The word for son in the Hebrew is, BEN, pronounced bane. Does this translation help? Isaiah 14:12 (NASB) "How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who have weakened the nations! I read it as “Morning” and “Dawn” and it makes it clear to me, angles being the son’s of God. CDBJ |
