242 | who was barnabus the encourager | Acts 4:36 | jlpangilinan | 73461
Barnabas son of consolation, the surname of Joses, a Levite (Ac 4:36). His name stands first on the list of prophets and teachers of the church at Antioch (Ac 13:1). Luke speaks of him as a "good man" (Ac 11:24). He was born of Jewish parents of the tribe of Levi. He was a native of Cyprus, where he had a possession of land (Ac 4:36-37), which he sold. His personal appearance is supposed to have been dignified and commanding (Ac 14:11-12). When Paul returned to Jerusalem after his conversion, Barnabas took him and introduced him to the apostles (Ac 9:27). They had probably been companions as students in the school of Gamaliel. The prosperity of the church at Antioch led the apostles and brethren at Jerusalem to send Barnabas thither to superintend the movement. He found the work so extensive and weighty that he went to Tarsus in search of Saul to assist him. Saul returned with him to Antioch and laboured with him for a whole year (Ac 11:25-26). The two were at the end of this period sent up to Jerusalem with the contributions the church at Antioch had made for the poorer brethren there (Ac 11:28-30). Shortly after they returned, bringing John Mark with them, they were appointed as missionaries to the heathen world, and in this capacity visited Cyprus and some of the principal cities of Asia Minor (Ac 13:14). Returning from this first missionary journey to Antioch, they were again sent up to Jerusalem to consult with the church there regarding the relation of Gentiles to the church (Ac 15:1; Ga 2:1). This matter having been settled, they returned again to Antioch, bringing the decree of the council as the rule by which Gentiles were to be admitted into the church. When about to set forth on a second missionary journey, a dispute arose between Saul and Barnabas as to the propriety of taking John Mark with them again. The dispute ended by Saul and Barnabas taking separate routes. Saul took Silas as his companion, and journeyed through Syria and Cilicia; while Barnabas took his nephew John Mark, and visited Cyprus (Ac 15:36-41). Barnabas is not again mentioned by Luke in the Acts. |

244 | John12:1-9 Poor will always be here | John 12:8 | jlpangilinan | 73353
The situation there is it judas pretending that he is caring for the poor Joh 12:3 Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment. Joh 12:5 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor? When mary use the ointment to clean Christ feet, it is judas try to oppose that they should sell the ointment and gave to the poor but the truth is he want the money. Joh 12:6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein. Joh 12:7 Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this. Joh 12:8 For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always. Christ explain that those poor people are always there if we want to help, they were around anytime, even in our time too many poor people needs our help. But christ said they have him always as human person. (because he is going to die in the cross and ressurect and go back to heaven as God the Son. God bless |

247 | Why weren't Jesus' answers the same? | Matt 19:16 | jlpangilinan | 73126
It means they different person, the rich man is rich and the lawyer maybe is not rich as the rich man mentioned. Aside from that the answer given to the rich man is specific for him, otherwise all the rich man of todays Christians will going to sell properties. If we have the same commandments as the rich man you and me should sell all our properties and follow Him. But if we study the two different answers is the same. Love God with all thy heart and soul and strength are same as selling your properties and follow Jesus. If we love God with all our everything, do you think we owned a single centavo? it is for God? Serve Him with all your everything. So the answer of Jesus Christ for that rich man (aside from Christ knew what is in the heart of the rich man when he asked this question) is very specific for him otherwise all rich man has to sell thier properties enable to inherit eternal life. Although it Christ also said that it very hard to a rich man to go to heaven: Mt 19:24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. The answer to the lawyer is for everyone: Mt 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Mt 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Here is the verses that has an advice to the rich: 1Ti 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; The advice to them is to be fair not to sell all thier goods and properties. 248 | Holy Spirit | Gen 1:2 | jlpangilinan | 73122
The Holy Spirit is there even in the very start of creation. Ge 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Christ can heal because He is God, He created everything and He is life. Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. He is the Way the Truth and the Life" John 14:6 Quote" yet the blind man was able to see eventhough the Holy Spirit was not made available at that time until the day of apentecost." It is God who kill and heal, it is the Father the Son and Holy Spirit De 32:39 ¶ See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. So it wrong to say that the Holy Spirit is not available. He is there even in the very start of creation. God bless, |

249 | Is it alright to talk/pray to the dead? | Deut 18:11 | jlpangilinan | 71982
Let me clarify something. Are you parying for them for what asking help through them to think that they can help you. Or praying that thier soul will be in heaven. talk to them they will not heard you anyway. those are not a doctrine of the bible. How can you talk to them anyway? Ec 9:5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Ec 9:6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun. If you consult spiritist to talk the dead it most prohibited by God De 18:11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. |

The standard of who teaching the truth is the word of God. As paul said even angel from heaven taught the gospel different from them must accursed: Ga 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Please read the Bible always, compare the teaching of C.Dollar and from your own, you can say if he taught the truht or not. God bless, |

251 | Catholic Chruch, Idols, Holy Mother? | Matt 15:6 | jlpangilinan | 71950
It was written that there are many people that will change the glory of God into an image, we should not be surprise if its happened. The advantage of us if we read the Bible so we are prepared if somebody will introduce us in this doctrine. Ro 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Why after of many passages written in the Bible how God hated idolatry there are still millions of people practice that kind of faith? Why after so many teachings about idolatry they still embrace that kind of faith? I am sure this people read the Bible but still they same as a blind that did not see nothing, why? The Bible said: Isa 44:18 They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand. 2Co 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 2Co 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. Try more effort my friend, maybe just maybe one or two soul that you can enligthen and embrace the true glory of God instead of the corrputible images which God hated most. God bless, |

252 | Praying in Jesus' name | John 16:24 | jlpangilinan | 71948
I hope you believed that Jesus Christ is God. Php 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: Question"Why we should pray to God in Jesus Name? Because without Christ, we are alliens from the commonwealth of Israel, meaning without Christ our prayer will not be heard." Without Christ we have no hope, and without God in the World. How can we pray having without God? It is the grace of Christ make our prayer heard without Him we have no God. Eph 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: He is the Way Truth and the Life no one comes to the Father but by Him. John 14:6 We have to ask the Father through Him, because without Him we dont know the Father: Joh 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you Joh 16:26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you: If we are going to say that we dont need Jesus when we pray it be the same denying His presence, He will deny us to His Father: Mt 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever received Him received Him not but the Father. Mr 9:37 Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me. God bless, |

254 | Did Jesus get His flesh from Mary? | Bible general Archive 1 | jlpangilinan | 71860
When you are born, where did you get your flesh anyway? Im sure from your mother. If Jesus Christ not get His flesh from mary, why He has to be born by mary? What is the need of being 9 months in the womb of Mary? Mt 1:16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. Jesus is God and you cannot crussified God. The reason why Christ get his flesh from mary to become one of us: Php 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: Php 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: Otherwise how can you crussified God in spirit? We could maybe email you the verse that will stated that Christ got His flesh from mary. But if you understand the logic/sense of the bible, you will understand that He got His flesh from mary because it is the reason why Christ has to be born with a woman. God can send Christ in any form that He want anyway? But God made it that way. There are people in most need of your 500 dollars give it to them God will appreciate that. What He will not appreciate is if you try to make this forum a gambling establishment. God bless |

256 | Is Catholic considered false religion? | Matt 15:6 | jlpangilinan | 71680
If they teach not in the Bible, let the Bible answer your question. For me not just a catholic church, but any religion that have a doctrine that not in the Bible will be accursed. Ga 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. It is very clear that in the warning of Paul, if anyone preach any other gospel even angel fromheaven let them be accursed. I am going to follow this warning, as I tried to follow other warning in the scriptures, and hope God will help me. God bless, Johnny |

258 | Did Jesus have sex with a prostitute? | John 1:13 | jlpangilinan | 71620
Im a little upset with your question. Do you believed that Christ is God? Do you think God will have sex with His creation? Christ born not of blood nor the will of flesh, but of God, Christ has no sexual need: Joh 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Take a look of this verse what God said about man. Ge 6:3 ¶ And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. Quote " Was He a Virgin?" Answers He was God, He was Holy, He is the Way the Truth and the Life, no one comes into the Father but By Him. God bless, Johnny |

259 | A mental Affair | 1 John 1:9 | jlpangilinan | 71618
Yes, You are right the bible says that Mt 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. God forgiveness, yes but I dont think we do it again and again and asking forgiveness again and again. That verse is very wisely said by our Lord Jesus Christ, that we dont have to do it to commit sin. Christ already prohibit us to think lust to anyone, so that it will not start a spark to attempt or to commit adultery. If we always think of other woman or man aside from our spouse, we could be commit it in reality, so Christ Christ already prohibited that root of adultery. For example the 10 commandments said thou shalt not kill but Christ said: Mt 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. In that verse if we can see Christ already prohibit the root of hatred that can cause of killing. God bless, Johnny |
