221 | New Testament TITHING ? | Bible general Archive 1 | jlpangilinan | 75011
Ten percent is not a requirement for Christians, but if you want to give 10 or more than 10 percent is acceptable to God but as love offering and not as a requirements. Most of teaching todays is that we are save by grace faith and not by works, and tithes is works as a matter of fact it is works of law. Law cannot justify us as paul said: Ac 13:39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. Christ did not teach that we must tithe, there is no apostle that give or required anyone to give tithes but love offering: 2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. lastly the tithes is not for Christian it is included in the law of moses and it was given specifically to them: De 5:3 The LORD made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day. It was mention there "Lord made not this covenant with our fathers, even us, who are all of here alive this day" are you included there no! if thier father is not included as jews how about us? 222 | Im in fear for my family about the war. | Bible general Archive 1 | jlpangilinan | 75007
As human it is usual that we are going to scared of this wars, but it this things must come to pass as Christ said, and "see that ye be not troubled" Mt 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. Mt 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. But Christ assure as that because of the elect sake this things will be shorten. Mt 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. God bless, |

223 | Who are "the other Gods"? | 2 Cor 4:4 | jlpangilinan | 74914
Just some clarification There are no "other Gods" in the Bible it was "other gods" small "g" to represent the false gods. God delcare that there are no other "God" formed before or after Him Isa 43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. other gods represent represent all false gods such as idols, and other things that represent idolatry. As scriptures stated satan is the "god" of this world: 2Co 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious. In Ps 82:1 ¶ A Psalm of Asaph. God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods. God judged among the gods this gods are represents the sons of God. In John 10:34 Joh 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? Joh 10:35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; God called them gods, unto whom the word of God came. God bless |

224 | Law, Curses, Resurrection, Regeneration | Matt 5:18 | jlpangilinan | 74813
Mt 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. He fullfill the law with the differ meaning, for example the sabbath it is punisheable by death under the law of moses if you do work in sabbath. But Christ and His desciples done different works in the day of sabbath: Mr 2:23 And it came to pass, that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn. Christ indeed heal in the day of sabbath. It is a very clear example that we please God in sabbath days by doing good deeds. Tithes really is not for Christian, the law of moses indeed is given specifically to them not for you not for your parents. De 5:3 The LORD made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day. So Christ did not gave order to any Christian to gave tithes but love offerings. The laws that given to the Christian was: Mt 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Mt 22:38 This is the first and great commandment. Mt 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Mt 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. When you observed this two commandments there is nothing in the law of moses that you disobey. God bless, |

225 | God's new covenant differ? | Matt 5:22 | jlpangilinan | 74806
It was differ, here are some of the example of Christ commandments Mt 5:21 ¶ Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: 21. Easton Mt 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. Under the law, (thou shalt not kill" before you condemn in the said sin or crime the person has to commit the actual killing, but under the commandments of christ to those who call raca in his brothers or sisters are committed sin already. Aside from that there has supposed to have three witness before this person can be condemn. De 17:6 At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death. but in the law of Christ you already commit sin in your heart Mt 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. under the law the person has to commit the actual action before can commit sin but in Christ law you already commit sin in your heart when you look with lust towards a woman and vice versa. 230 | Was Joshua a brilliant strategist? | Num 14:7 | jlpangilinan | 74279
The record of Joshua shows that he is great commander conquering 6 nations and 31 kings Now began the wars of conquest which Joshua carried on for many years, the record of which is in the book which bears his name. Six nations and thirty-one kings were conquered by him (Jos 11:18-23; 12:24). Having thus subdued the Canaanites, Joshua divided the land among the tribes, Timnath-serah in Mount Ephraim being assigned to himself as his own inheritance. (See Shiloh; Priest.) He strategy is with the faith into the lord, when the other spy reported that they cannot destroy the enemy of they are giants it is Joshua reported that they can destroy the enemy with the help of the Lord. Nu 13:31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. Nu 14:7 And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land. Nu 14:8 If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey. Nu 14:9 Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not. God bless |

231 | How did joshua educate in Gods law | Num 13:16 | jlpangilinan | 74275
Joshua is the son of Nun, of the tribe of Ephraim, the successor of Moses as the leader of Israel. He is called Jehoshua in Nu 13:16 He became Moses' minister or servant, and accompanied him part of the way when he ascended Mount Sinai to receive the two tables (Ex 32:17). I am sure, during the time moses taught him everything he need to handle the people of Israel. Under the direction of God, Moses, before his death, invested Joshua in a public and solemn manner with authority over the people as his successor (De 31:23). Under the direction of God all good things is possible, He can make Kings and remove kings so it is not impossible for Him to make Joshua intellegent, to teach the law as moses wrote the law already. 232 | who were Noah's parents? | Gen 5:1 | jlpangilinan | 74273
It was Lamech Noah rest, (Heb Noah) the grandson of Methuselah (Ge 5:25-29), who was for two hundred and fifty years contemporary with Adam, and the son of Lamech, who was about fifty years old at the time of Adam's death. This patriarch is rightly regarded as the connecting link between the old and the new world. He is the second great progenitor of the human family. The words of his father Lamech at his birth (Ge 5:29) have been regarded as in a sense prophetical, designating Noah as a type of Him who is the true "rest and comfort" of men under the burden of life (Mt 11:28). 235 | Which John in Revelation? | Rev 1:1 | jlpangilinan | 74147
Its John the Apostle Revelation, Book of The Apocalypse, the closing book and the only prophetical book of the New Testament canon. The author of this book was undoubtedly John the apostle. His name occurs four times in the book itself (Re 1:1,4,9; 22:8), and there is every reason to conclude that the "John" here mentioned was the apostle. In a manuscript of about the twelfth century he is called "John the divine," but no reason can be assigned for this appellation. The date of the writing of this book has generally been fixed at A.D. 96, in the reign of Domitian. There are some, however, who contend for an earlier date, A.D. 68 or 69, in the reign of Nero. Those who are in favour of the later date appeal to the testimony of the Christian father Irenaeus, who received information relative to this book from those who had seen John face to face. He says that the Apocalypse "was seen no long time ago." As to the relation between this book and the Gospel of John, it has been well observed that "the leading ideas of both are the same. The one gives us in a magnificent vision, the other in a great historic drama, the supreme conflict between good and evil and its issue. In both Jesus Christ is the central figure, whose victory through defeat is the issue of the conflict. In both the Jewish dispensation is the preparation for the gospel, and the warfare and triumph of the Christ is described in language saturated with the Old Testament. The difference of date will go a long way toward explaining the difference of style." Plummer's Gospel of St. John, Introd. EASTON BIBLE DICTIONARY ENTRY |

236 | what is the doctrine of Nicolatitans? | 2 Pet 2:15 | jlpangilinan | 73804
wELCOME TO THE FORUM! Nicolaitanes The church at Ephesus (Re 2:6) is commended for hating the "deeds" of the Nicolaitanes, and the church of Pergamos is blamed for having them who hold their "doctrines" (Re 2:15). They were seemingly a class of professing Christians, who sought to introduce into the church a false freedom or licentiousness, thus abusing Paul's doctrine of grace (comp. 2Pe 2:15-16,19), and were probably identical with those who held the doctrine of Baalam (q.v.), Re 2:14.
