22 | Clean and unclean animals? | Gen 7:2 | Mommapbs | 144946
Since this is the first instance of the word "clean" in Scripture - how did Noah know which animals were "clean" and "not clean?" It seems impossible to me that Noah could go out and round up all the animal species of the earth, so does it stand to reason that God brought the animals to Noah? If He did, then does it also stand to reason that God brought 7 pairs of clean animals to the ark, thus distinguishing between those that were clean and those that were unclean? |

23 | Was the curse on the ground lifted? | Gen 8:21 | Mommapbs | 177478
At the Fall, The LORD cursed the ground.Gen 3:17 (This might be why Cain's offering was rejected, because it came from what the LORD had cursed.) Generations of sin later Lamech declared, Now he called his name Noah, saying, "This one will give us rest from our work and from the toil of our hands arising from the ground which the LORD has cursed." Gen 5:29 After the flood, the LORD responds to Noah's offering. "I will never again curse the ground on account of man, for the intent of man's heart is evil from his youth; and I will never again destroy every living thing, as I have done." Was the curse on the ground lifted? (I'm wondering about the grain offering God commanded - how this would be acceptable if the ground was cursed?) |

24 | Who is giving the tenth? | Gen 14:20 | Mommapbs | 154928
Who is giving the tenth of all here? (Please read from v 14 onward to the end of this chapter.) As I read this passage it is confusing. I'm wondering if Abram gave ALL he returned with to Melchizedeck and then HE (Melchizedeck) gave a tenth of all to Abram. Any Hebrew scholars out there to shed some light on how this is translated as Abram giving the tenth? (Let's keep Hebrews 7:4 out of this.) |

27 | Sons of Lot blessed? | Gen 19:30 | Mommapbs | 38092
Gen 19:36- 38 reveals that the mothers of Lot's sons were his daughters! These girls got their father drunk and had sexual realtions with him. Was their conduct honorable? Was Lot's - or was he excused by reason of intoxication? How did the "sins of the father" visit the offspring here? Isn't it interesting to note that God gave this land (mentioned in Deut 2:19)to the sons of Lot? Would you call this a "blessing?" Do you think that Lot's sons were blessed because Lot was the nephew of Abraham? Thankfully,God's ways are not our ways. What do you think God wants us to learn from this? |

32 | Easter questions | Ex 12:2 | Mommapbs | 37328
After researching Easter on this site I came across this fact: "according to the World Almanac, Easter is observed on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the vernal equinox (the first day of spring)." This has prompted some thoughts and questions. Since the term "Easter" is a derivation from pagan goddesses, why has the church embraced this word? For the believer, our Lord's triumph is a day to celebrate - doesn't "Resurrection Day" seem more worth celebrating than "easter?" Which is the correct day of observance according to the Jewish Passover? Wouldn't it be great to begin a Christ-centered, world-wide movement to re-establish the correct day of observance of our Lord's Triumph or would this just wreck havoc with our "Easter Vacation" scheduling? Just wondering . . . Mommapbs |

33 | Significance of steps? | Ex 20:26 | Mommapbs | 175890

How did the Israelites know what cherubim looked like? (There are Biblical references Gen 28:12; Ex 32:1 to previous angelic appearances . . . Any insight here?
