126 | Do I detect the spirit of antichrist? | Matt 1:23 | Mommapbs | 132928
Survivor, do YOU mean to imply that Jesus, the only begotten God (John 1:18) is not who He says He is - God? Jesus is not a spirit. He has revealed the Father to us in Himself. Do I detect the spirit of antichrist here?
127 | Where is the TRUTH found? | Matt 1:25 | Mommapbs | 48141
Greeting Brian! You wrote: "the Catholic Church considers Mary to be the first person saved by Jesus." Does the BIBLE say this is so? You wrote: "She was cleansed of all sin (including original sin), in order to prepare her body for her son." How does the BIBLE say this happened? You wrote: "So that, her Son (God), was born free of all stains of sin." Where does the BIBLE say that God needed Mary to be sinless in order to bring forth Jesus, who knew no sin? You wrote: "Mary received the same cleansing that is offered to each of us, at Baptism." Where does the BIBLE say that BAPTISM cleanses us?According to Hebrews 9:22, it is blood that cleanses sin! You wrote: "Although she was saved before the birth of Christ, in accordance with God's plan." How was Mary "saved?" Where is this "plan" revealed? Can you support this teaching with Scripture? Let's be careful to differentiate between the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church and the Teaching of God's Word! Let's seek the TRUTH together! Mommapbs |

128 | Earthly copies from Heaven? | Matt 6:10 | Mommapbs | 46206
God copies, satan counterfeits! Where does God get His pattern to copy from - Heaven. To me, "Thy will be done on earth as IS in Heaven." could suggest a future action on earth based upon the reality of Heaven in the past or the present. For example: Man was created in the image of God. "So it is written: "The first man Adam became a living being"; the last Adam, a lifeĀgiving spirit. 1 Cor 15:45; Gen. 2:7 Can you think of other examples? Please give references. |

129 | More examples of God's "copys?" | Matt 6:10 | Mommapbs | 46264
"For behold, the kingdom of God is in your midst." Luke 17:21 I think that you can figure out how the Kingdom of God is in our midst! ASK,SEEK,KNOCK! God will indeed reveal it to you! Any other examples that you can find where God copies on earth what is in Heaven? |

130 | Treasure? | Matt 6:20 | Mommapbs | 120168
Who is the beneficiary of this treasure? What kind of treasure was Jesus talking about? How do we send treasures on ahead of our arrival? How might this verse enable us to evaluate how we invest the resources God has given us while we are still here? |

131 | Grace AND? | Matt 6:20 | Mommapbs | 120220
Greetings Rowdy, Are you suggesting that our salvation is based upon Grace AND works? At first you write, "IF we've complied with the terms and conditions of Jesus' Last Will and Testament, we qualify to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and go home to God the Father." What are those terms? Then, you ask: Is our name in the Book of Life? How can we be certain? How can we be certain we'll get into the gate at the final showing of the bridegroom? You answer: Put our talents to work for Him . . . a (and) By studying God's Word and staying in constant prayer to God, keeping God's light brightly shining throughout the world in our lives . . . didn't the Parisees DO these things? As I read what you have written, where does grace enter the picture of salvation that you have painted? Blessings, mommapbs |

132 | Who are these people thatJesus condemns? | Matt 7:22 | Mommapbs | 28891
Who are these people who prophesy, cast out demons and perform miracles in His name, and yet Jesus says in the following verse that "He never knew them"? Some suspect that these people were not under the Lordship of Christ at the time that they did these things, for Jesus said that they acted wickedly - lawless, rebellious to His authority. It can be confusing if we read Romans 10:13 which declares,"All those who call on the Name of the Lord will be saved." But the confusion clears when we recognize that this passage refers to the time of judgement. This heightens our sense of urgency to be discerning doesn't it? Could it be that in spite of their spectacular "ministry," they never called on the Name of the Lord until "that day?" Perhaps the key is that THEY did these things in Jesus name, not Jesus IN them! 134 | How does one "take offense at" the Lord? | Matt 11:6 | Mommapbs | 105572
What are some ways that one can "take offense at" the Lord? It is interesting to note the use of the word stumbling in the Amphlified version. As I did a search on the word stumble, I came across this reference where Jesus is called "A STONE OF STUMBLING AND A ROCK OF OFFENSE"; for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, and to this doom they were also appointed." 1 Peter 2:8 I'd appreciate your comments! |

135 | Age to come? | Matt 12:32 | Mommapbs | 106024
Greetings Searcher, I know this is an old post, but as I read this verse (Mt 12:32), the words "age to come" caught my attention. You wrote: "Age is aion (Strong's 165) , which can mean period of time (this age) which will last until the next aion (the age to come) which is eternity, another meaning of aion." How can anyone speak against the Spirit in eternity when sin is no longer present? mommapbs |
