201 | Rule and Reign over What? | 1 Cor 6:3 | skccab | 211013
Shalom dear Azure, Yes, I am doing much better, thank you. The fact that you speak and write such lovely English, I have to constantly remind myself that you also have an extremely daunting native language. Hats off to you, sweet sister!! I'm just in first stages of learning Hebrew, would love to find someone else to study it with. :o) Cheri |

202 | Rule and Reign over What? | 1 Cor 6:3 | skccab | 211003
Aaaah one of my favorite prayers, we sing it each shabbat at prayers. If you're interested in the Hebrew language, email me sometime, maybe we can learn together!! I've learned how to read Hebrew (with the vowel points) but my vocabulary is quite small. :o( BTW, to anyone, are you having problems receiving email notifications of responses to your posts? It's been a little over a week since I've received any emails from SBF!! Cheri |

203 | Rule and Reign over What? | 1 Cor 6:3 | skccab | 211001
Keliy Thank you for your thoughts and efforts. It's much appreciated. The previous thread (Am I Ignorant) got me to thinking about the world to come (I'm not so much heaven-bound-minded as I am world-to-come-bound-minded.) :o) Baruch k'vod malchuto l'olam va'ed Blessed be Your glorious kingdom for ever Cheri |

205 | Rule and Reign over What? | Not Specified | skccab | 210994
Shalom y'all, I've got a question that's been boggling my mind for ages. The bible says that believers are to rule and reign with Messiah. OK, I've got that part easily enough, but if this is after (or also after) the millenium and great whtie throne judgement, what are we gonna rule and reign over???? There won;t be anything left that isn't a part of the Godly Family, will there? in a conundrum (???) :o) Cheri |

209 | Who is "She" ? | Is 13:22 | skccab | 210977
Dear Keliy, Reading the passage in context, it sounds like it's talking about the literal Babylon as it was in days of old, and the destruction that later laid "her" waste. I guess those verses could also pre-figure the Mystery Babylon, but I basically take them as they seem to be. If anyone has any other info, I'm ready to learn :o) Cheri |

210 | Who is "She" ? | Is 13:22 | skccab | 210971
Shalom Keliy In context, from Isa. 13:19-22 it seems to be that the "she" is Babylon, and the destruction that later came to pass. Cheri |

211 | Leviticus16:8,10,20-22 | Leviticus | skccab | 210965
Shalom fellow-Ohioan, I think one reason you are getting confused is that you have decided that Azazel is satan. As far as my knowledge goes, the sages don't really know who or what Azazel was/is. The goat for Azazel indeed did carry the sins of the people into the wilderness (and to keep it from returning or winding up somewhere else, it was usually thrown off a cliff, as history records it). There's much more written about this but I don't have the references to state them on the Forum. :o( Cheri |

Dear DL, Sounds like you're straddling the fence? Which is your choice? God is irrelevant or you are one of His perfect works? You can't have it both ways (who would want it that way?). I pray you choose the latter Shalom Cheri |

214 | who was Jesus talking about | Acts 19:15 | skccab | 210859
Shalom Jchelve Studying our God's word is a joy. While we help others to understand, we also learn and understand. We are all teachers and students at the same time. Cheri |

215 | who was Jesus talking about | Acts 19:15 | skccab | 210856
Jchelve Has what they prophesied come to pass? Are you asking these questions because of personal involvement with someone today? Cos there is no way you could know what those in Mt. 7:22 may have said.... Lev. 19:31 :o) Cheri |

216 | who was Jesus talking about | Acts 19:15 | skccab | 210854
Jchelve I'm sorry, I neglected to supply a supporting scripture for the previous post, so see Rom. 10:17. Cheri |

217 | who was Jesus talking about | Acts 19:15 | skccab | 210853
Jchelve The Word worked (and always will) when it falls on ears that hear and believe and act on it. The miracles and healings happened, not because the person preaching believed and was saved, but because the person hearing and in need believed and got saved or already was. God will always honor His word/promises. Cheri |

218 | who was Jesus talking about | Acts 19:15 | skccab | 210850
Good evening jchelve I'm sure john will see your question and answer you, but I'll give you my opinion. Messiah was speaking to those who had been just playing a game (and there are many of those around today!!). They crave the notoriety, the money, the esteem, etc that comes from performing miracles and healings. They actually manage to convince themselves, as well as many others, that they are truly born-again believers, but they have never really surrendered their lives to the Lordship of Messiah. How do you think that they practice lawlessness? Later in ch. 24 vs. 34-46 will give you better enlightenment on what it means to practice Torah, to live as a redeemed child of God, or to practice "lawlessness." Shalom Cheri P.S. In the future, if you want to answer a post/note of a specific person, just click on that person's post and then you can reply and an email will be sent to that person, and that also keeps the home page free. Welcome to the SBF!!!! |

220 | The Blind leading the blind | Mark 8:18 | skccab | 210806
Dave, The Pharisees were supposed to be leaders and teachers to the common man of God's instructions. There is no instruction about the washing of hands whatsoever, it was only a part of the oral tradition, which very often put many strenuous burdens on the people. Mat. 5:17-19, Messiah did not come to change, abolish, or destroy the law, nor did He come to incorporate a new religion. He was Torah observant, not so much an observer of the oral tradition. (I think the only "men's" tradition that Messiah kept was the celebration of Chanukkah.) As far as calling them hypocrites, see Mat. 15:4-6, many such oral traditions were like that. Cheri |
