181 | Is the May 21 rapture real? | NT general | azurelaw | 227962
Amen! Never cease speaking the Gosple to OURSELVES, to OUR BRETHEN, and to the LOST. The Gospel should not be only spoken to the lost, but also to believers. We (believers) should preach it to ourselves day and night. We live and die for the gospel, for Jesus is the Gospel. Mark 1:15 and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel." Mark 8:35 "For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel's will save it. Shalom Azure |

182 | Church and addiction | NT general | azurelaw | 230837
Dear Jlalli, You say : "My thought is God accepts us all as we are and you can go to church as an addict or saint." I am sure you said so with good intention and yet I am afraid it is very misleading. If God accepts us all as we are, He would not have sent His only beloved Son to LIVE A PERFECT LIFE FOR US and DIE FOR OUR SIN. Don't just read V16 of the Gospel according to John, read through to V21 at least. Meanwhile, according to the context of chapter 3, in the beginning section, notice what Jesus said in V3 "born anew". A truly born again Christian will have a change in his/her life, though most of the time the change is little by little, and failures are enountered as well. Yet, he/she will not love the old life anymore. His/her hatre of sin will grow together with his/her love for the Lord. My post is not intended to answer the original question of lovingmother's but to address my concern on your statement which could mislead readers that they may still be saved if they stay in the habitual sinful life without any regret or repantence. God is love, for sure; but He also is justice. Sin has no place before His eyes. I've learn from an elder brother who once shared with me something like this: A believer must have a right relationship with God before he/she could have a right relationship with others (include oneself). So, to expand that thought, we may only properly love ourselves or others when we have a right relationship with God. To quote (from my memory, wordings could vary a bit) from what Paul Washer said: Don't tell me that you have a good relationship with God unless you can tell me what is your relationship with sin. 183 | Church and addiction | NT general | azurelaw | 230840
Dear Jlalli, You ask: So are u saying not to go to church until one is perfect ? I was worrying that my post could be mis-interpreted as an advice to the original quesioner. That's why I said : "My post is not intended to answer the original question of lovingmother's but to address my concern on your statement which could mislead readers that they may still be saved if they stay in the habitual sinful life without any regret or repantence." In fact, I completely agree with your advice and encouragement to her for going to church. Whether she has completely overcome her addiction or not, by all means, she should go to a donctrinally sound, loving and caring church. (1 Peter 5:8, Heb 10:25) Shalom Azure |

185 | Jesus' death embody His ministry message | NT general | azurelaw | 234386
Dear Preston, There always students come to the forum inquiring for answer for their homework questions instead of first working it out by themselves. Such conduct is not encouraged. If you have not noticed, please familiarize yourself with the TOU which also indicates the host's rule in concern with this kind of behaviour as below:- --- The Forum is not intended to provide or be a source for answering test or homework questions of those that are students. Questions asked should be from a true desire to learn and not as an easy substitute for the learning process. By the way, as I have read Doc's post in respond to Noah80's question, I see nothing in his wordings or tone that is hostile to the poster. I really cannot understand why you have such an accusation on Doc. While you mention "Some....have a very difficult time...", may I know who else do you mean? Shalom Azure |

187 | Why did God put us on earth with satin? | Genesis | azurelaw | 192545
Dear misteredd, You are responding to a very old post and I doubt you would get a reply from the questioner. It would be advisable to read throught the thread for better understanding before submitting a post or two. By the way, could you please provide us with sufficient scriptures for your logic? Finally, satin is a kind of fabrics for making clothes. :-) I cannot relate it to any product of sin. Shalom Azure |

Dear TC, Thank you very much for responding. I like the facial sign you made. It's cute and creative. Concerning what you say about the principalities of Satan still trying to beat us up ..., can you explain what do you mean by those principalities? What are the scriptural reference to it? Thank you for your sharing. Shalom Azure |

193 | "sons of God saw daughters of men?" | Genesis | azurelaw | 203197
Dear lander, Welcome to the forum. Why ask: What can we do GOD to make you happy? As believers, shouldn't we have known the answer already? Hos 6:6 For I delight in loyalty rather than sacrifice, And in the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings. Heb 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. Be doer of His Word (James 1:22-27, Mat 12:50) Shalom Azure |

195 | "sons of God saw daughters of men?" | Genesis | azurelaw | 203297
Dear william, 1/ You say: The other races clearly shown in the Bible that wear not given responsibility for the earth and its creatures but allowed by God to visit the earth and observe its glorious creation and take refuge are the one of the other races. Could you please provide scriptural reference to your above notion? 2/ You say: the sons of Adam found and took wives from the other races children. Aren't all races are descendants of Adam's? Are you implying that other races children are not of Adam's? Thank you for your clarification. Shalom Azure |

How would you come to the conclusion that Adam was the first Jew? He is the first ancestor of all human races. Please carefully study the book of Genesis again before you may respond to any relevant questions on the forum. I see all your answers given in your posts lacking scriptural support. Please read the Terms of Use of the forum so that you may know about the guidelines of posting. Thanks. Shalom Azure |
