141 | info on marriage how to treat each outh | Col 3:18 | serenetime | 34080
Hey rlm, There are several scriptures regarding love. Not only in marriage, but in loving one another.Matt 5:43 43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. KJV Matt 22:37 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. KJV Mark 12:33 33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. KJV Luke 6:27 27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, KJV Luke 10:27 27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. KJV John 15:12 12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. KJV Having used only a couple of verses in the general. Now lets look at marriage. Eph 5:25-30 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: 30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. KJV Eph 5:33 33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. KJV We are to love one another even if it's not what we want. Because God is love, and we are his example. But I show you a great mystery.I believe that we all need to humble one's self. Hi Brad, I disagree on what it says in Verse 14, the reason is first Eve was formed to be a help for Adam. Adam was to be the dresser of the garden. When Eve partook of the deception, where was Adam. Adam was responsible for the garden and for her, and he didn't try to stop her, but took of it and ate also. Eve wasn't the only one punished. It's like you and I go out and vandalise a home, just an example, but at first you didn't want to be involved, but changed your mind and decided to do the same. Is it right that only I get punished. No, we both did it and should both be punished. In verse 1 Timothy 2:12 "I do not allow a woman to teach, this is not saying that Jesus said it. this is Timothy talking about what he wants. Take off these flesh bodies and what do you have. No difference. It has nothing to do with our fleshly sexual origin, this what I believe. God will use whatever and whomever he chooses to teach and speak for him, a rock, a ass, a woman or man. In Acts 10:34, God is no respecter of person's. and in Number 22:21-34, The angel of the Lord used a ass to speak to Balaam. just my belief and interpretation considering there are other scriptures about Jesus, when the men brought Mary magdeline to him because they said whe was a adulteress and caught in the very act. To stone her, and Jesus says, he who is without sin cast the first stone. If Jesus felt she was worth something then so should we. Serenetime for real.

Tim, I worded that wrong. I know it's the inspired word, but like you said many differences of opinion. I feel like sometimes paul also gets where he is more speaking of the statutes and ordinances more than the law. Women sometime get suppressed because of the differences of that interpretation. And because it is the inspired word of God, then it's there to see. It's difficult especially when I am always being told that women have their roles in the church, but it's not of any of high importance of teaching the word of God, but when I was going to a church years ago. Two evangelists came to visit our church. The woman evangelist had to sit in the pew while the male evangelist got sit up in the pulpit. I feel women could be a real strength and power for God and Iesous in strengthening the people of God, and spreading the Word. Jesus had the highest respect for them. I believ it's wife, because it does say that elsewhere where it's translated wife. Thanks for you help. serenetime

Nolan, I agree regarding naming her as Mary Magdalene, I have not been able to show you this. I guess I remember this belief that it was her from when I was going to a church years ago, and I remember that they said it was her, but whether It's true and I can show it, is another thing, but Nolan I never ever said that she was a prostitute. I said adulteress not prostitute. For the woman in that scripture is being accused of being an adulteress. serenetime

Hank, I agree with you on this, and I'm glad that some of the tradional views taught in some churches today are being exposed if they are unscriptual. I have always had the highest respect for her, she had such a devotion and love for Jesus, that I think everyone could learn from. The fact that before we were saved by grace, we all had a little something going on in our lives that we needed cleansing from. I thank him for cleansing me. Opening my eyes to the truth, and giving me an unfailing desire to know him, and to continue seeking him and searching the scriptures for a better understanding. Thanks to all for your help in this area. Serenetime

148 | What is "Inspiration"? -- correction | 2 Tim 3:16 | serenetime | 58688
Hi Kalos, I agree, but then again not all men that claim they are men of God are inspired by The Father. They can say they are, but I feel by having a deep relationship with him through Iesous (Jesus) and a continuous strong prayer life and desire to know his Word with a deep understanding gives you a deeper understanding of our Father's letter to us. Then you get a confirmation in your heart by the Father that what this person is saying is Truth. It comes down to us being responsible of knowing what is false and what isn't. I feel that their are many authors out there are also being led by something else (not God) as to confuse Christians and leading them astray. For instance in Matt. Matt 24:5 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. KJV Their not actually saying they are Christ, but claim to (know) Christ, and are decieving many. That's why it is so important to study in depth for one's self. Phil 2:12 12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Do you feel that even in some churches out their there are shown signs and wonders that are not scriptual from men and women whom claim this of God? And also that claim they are not prophet's, and are not and are decieving many? Mark 13:22 22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. KJV "seduce" is translated- NT:635 apoplanao (ap-op-lan-ah'-o); from NT:575 and NT:4105; to lead astray (figuratively); passively, to stray (from truth): KJV - err, seduce. NT:575 apo (apo'); a primary particle; "off," i.e. away (from something near), in various senses (of place, time, or relation; literal or figurative): KJV - (X here-) after, ago, at, because of, before, by (the space of), for (-th), from, in, (out) of, off, (up-) on (-ce), since, with. In composition (as a prefix) it usually denotes separation, departure, cessation, completion, reversal, etc. NT:4105 planao (plan-ah'-o); from NT:4106; to (properly, cause to) roam (from safety, truth, or virtue): KJV - go astray, deceive, err, seduce, wander, be out of the way. I think this is pretty heavy stuff and should not be taken lightly, wouldn't you agree? I do agree with the styles being different per man of God, because everyone has an individual personality and way about them. Our Salvation is our own, and our's alone, and it's our own responsibility to know what is false teaching and what is truth, our lives depend on it. What do you think? 152 | Does my Pastor have to live in my state? | Heb 13:17 | serenetime | 22160
Mincc, I also have in the past have listened and excepted a pastor from another state. First of all, if you feel that the pastors in your area are not teaching the true word of God, and have doubt to this and are happy with your relationship via radio or television, then who am I to object. But I hope that you are supporting this ministry. Also are staying in the Word of God and am communicating with your questions. Yes, we need to be held accountable, but shall we be to a pastor or pastors in your area who you feel are not biblically correct. 2 Tim. 2:15, Seek the Father daily. Your Friend, Serenetime
153 | Sumission to authority? | Heb 13:17 | serenetime | 28651
Mommapbs, If you do not agree with your Pastors interpretation of Scriptures and you find yourself questioning and not comfortable, you have done the right thing by making every effort to discuss this with him. After a few attempts and it seems he just doesn't seem to agree with you then I would ask him to show you why he interprets it the way he does. If he chooses to not use a good Bible Concordance which translate back to the original language and he's only reading a scripture in a chapter without reading the whole chapter to get the correct interpretation as best he can with these tools, And he doesn't see the interpretation you get is agreeable to him and you as well are not using additonal tools to help you get a better understanding. Then after all that ,it is your right to find a Church that's agreeable to your beliefs and interpretation of scripture. Pastors have a big responsibility to leading and guiding christians to correct translation and interpretation to God'S word, I feel that all who teaches needs to realize this. All will be held acoountable to whom they taught and led in their Church. If it was me, I would be open and seeking the truth in the Word daily. You don't want to stay where you're uncomfortable and in a SERIOUS disagreement. If you stayed and found he led you the wrong way and you never studied for yourself seriously in depth, then that's on you and you need to think of the cosequences. Also, I'm real leary of commentaries, but that too is an option in your studies. Oh there is so much out there for the serious Bible scholar. Good Luck in your decisions and God will show you the way. Stay humble and open to his guidance. I hope I've helped. In the Living Water, SERENETIME
154 | Sumission to authority? | Heb 13:17 | serenetime | 28680
mommapbs, I agree some with the others, but my concern is what some may consider minor may not be minor to someone else. If you study in depth the scriptures there are so many deeper truths that I have never seen or heard anyone teach in a church. I have belonged to a few churches in my day. And have visited a few as well, and I consider that your question deserves concern. Not everyone is in the same place spiritually and in truth I'm sorry to say. Your need for truth and sound doctrine is valuable. Let no one tell you otherwise. Pray earnestly on this. You deserve to be where you agree with the doctrine and teaching. I do believe that you will get your answer soon, because The Father is faihful in that your sincere need for higher truth and deeper depths of the awesome word of God. I know!!!! In Titus 1:8,9,14. regarding teachers of the Word. it says, verse 8) But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate; Verse 9) Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort, and to convince the gainsayers (contradicters). verse 14) Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men who turn from the truth. Regarding Studying, 1Tim.2:15, Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. "Study" means in the original greek-to be diligent, labour, forwardness, earnestly. Rightly dividing- dissect (expound) correctly (the divine) message. responsibility of teachers, and Preachers Col.1:28, Whom we preach warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdon; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. Warning- to put in mind, to caution or reprove, gently admonish. Wisdom- (worldly or spiritually) clear, cautious, thoughtful, sagaious. Perfect- labour, growth in moral or mental character, completeness, of full age. Your salvation, and correct teaching in the fullness of truth is IMPORTANT!! I truly would like you to keep in touch on the forum, and let me know how it's going, ok?? Love in the Truth of the Living Water, SERENETIME

Momma, Isn't that intertesting!! The Father is so awesome!!! Just to watch him work!!! Didn't take long. God the Father, in putting you in the same position, allowed you to advice someone else on the same thing. That's so cool!! And in doing so, are you able to see your answer?? It may be short and sweet or a little more of a process. But whatever God wants you to see, it's PERFECT in whatever way it comes. It blows me away how he works, and answers us sometimes. GOD is SO AWESOME. And he didn't waste any time. He was right on time. I'm sorry I hadn't answered you back before today, I've been a little under the weather, but I'M BACK!!!! 156 | Empty inside being a Roman Catholic? | James 2:17 | serenetime | 28314
Catrose62, I wouldn't be so bad but the catholic are one's to not allow their members to think for themselves. Of course you are to believe what they say to believe in. But what is that saying? You don't have a mind for yourself. They idolize the Pope and he is just a man. You're suppose to confess your sins to a priest and then he translates these confession to the pope and he is the intercessor to God to get forgiveness. Please, do you know how much that this is elevating man?? Jesus came to earth in a man body, but it was God. God so loves us that he sent his son, it says, but it is him in a human body, with the spirit of God. With man and trusting in man only, man will fail you every time. Man is not perfect. So, then you're to elevate Mary above Jesus. It's the same thing again elevating man over God. Yes she was blessed to concieve Jesus, but no more, and certainly not to the extent that Catholics believe. They actual worship her. Gee, sounds like the Pope. We all have free will and God gave us an intellect to search and read the scriptures for ourselves. The problem is is that you actually have to work at it, but you will be blessed beyond measure. i know it's hard to leave what you have been led to think was right for so long, but get the heck out of there. I'll be here for you. In Love of the true Word. Serenetime

158 | Empty inside being a Roman Catholic? | James 2:17 | serenetime | 28328
Emmaus, I'm curious regarding confession to a priest, because through Jesus confession is made and the forgiveness of sins. Also on indulgences. You can be partially forgiven where you have to do something through the church, because of how bad the sin was. Also prayers to Mary. Why Mary? Just curious on your thoughts regarding these. Thanks. 159 | What does this mean? | James 4:2 | serenetime | 46232
Sushod, Hi and it so good to hear from you. Regarding James 4:2, I have another observation. James 4:2 2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. KJV First you lust, and why do you lust, because you (DESIRE) something that is unatainable really because it is contrary to LOVE and by Love you truly obtain what is profitable, ye kill and desire to have, but by killing do you really obtain by killing the MOST IMPORTANT thing that is really needed in LOVE, and then ye fight and war, and ye have not because ye ask not. You fight and war for what you feel is rightfully yours, but ye ask not because if you truly trust in the Father then all things are yours and there's not need for all of this. But if your mind and heart is in lust in all three areas. Doesn't it say in, Matt 7:7-8 7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. KJV I can see in this verse that if we do things in the lust of the flesh we will never obtain what is truly important in LOVE of the Father through Iesous (Jesus). We need to trust our Father. But then again there are others that Lust and are not of the Father. Do you agree? I hope I have been a help, In the Living Water of Truth, SERENETIME |

160 | All have sinned | 1 John 1:10 | serenetime | 28587
Hi Nolan, In 1John 1:10, I feel it's important to point out that by grace we are saved, it is the gift of God. Grace meaning unmerited favor. Unmerited that before Grace and salvation we were all dead in trespasses and sin. If we say we have not sinned, it makes Him a liar, meaning as God feels like a liar in that through Jesus Christ and him crucified and the shedding of his blood there is no remission (forgiveness and cleansing) of sins. We say to God, sorry not needed We were all walking dead people in that before having a knowledge of our condition and sin, we were completely walking in darkness. But once saving grace translated us in newness of life and then we are made aware of our dark, lifeless sinful conditon through the carnal flesh. Boom the light comes on and we know. But with salvation we have a hope in that we have recieved eternal life, not in this fleshly state but when Jesus returns for the body of Christ. Before our eyes were opened there was no hope. Now we see our need for a saviour in that through Jesus confession is made and he is faithful to cleanse us all unrightousness. Now since we know of our past condition and the need to totally trust in Jesus to change our hearts and we now want to not sin. But we all fall short, it's this old carnal sinful nature through the flesh that will in this world there will be temptations on every side, but through Jesus, and the scripture that gives assurance and strength in 1 Cor. 10:13, There hath no temptation taken you that is such is common to man: but God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. If anyone says they hath not sinned, then they are kidding theirselves. But in some there is this high elevation of one's self and convincing them selves they have no need for a saviour and salvation and they don't want to feel like they now are being controlled, and they don't want to change because life was just fine, so why change. There is total denial, and therefore until they know (truly know) their need for a saviour and recognizing that they do sin they are dead in their tresspasses and sin and have no eternal life and continue to live in darkness. But there are some folks that are so stubborn and self centered they truly don't want salvation and all that comes with it, because for some it's hard to believe in a spirit they cannot see, and may feel not worthy. But I say it doesn't matter where you've been and if you were made to believe that you aren't worthy of anything good in your life. I say Come as you are, God Loves you so much that he's not looking at your clothes, your face, your body, and condemning your thoughts. He knows and LOVES you that he wants you to believe and trust in him. He's not like man and how we think. But how can he love me? Remember who knows the mind of God, and he does not look at the outward appearance, he looks and searches your heart and the inner most depths that may have been hidden for so long. That you forgot was even there, or never knew. It was so buried into you thoughts and heart and a huge wall covered it up. God and Jesus breaks down the walls and barriers and gives you a freedom you have never known. Oh I can go on and on. See I've been there, and I have seen what the world and what the mind can believe that can keep you from this awesome truth. It's a freedom that's almost unimaginable and it's gets better and better. If we say we hath not sinned, this is the first hurdle, this means habitual sin before we were saved through salvation. But now being a new creature and old things have past away, we are not to continually habitually sinning without concionce and guilt in that we are now awake, accountable for ourselves and there should be a renewing and change taking place that we don't continue in habitual sin. because that is without knowlege and changing our hearts to where we can't go back and strive to not sinning. But with faith and a renewness in our minds. So Nolan I say to who may say, I don't sin, and have no need for salvation and God couldn't love this dirt bag, and I can't see God, he must not be there. Whatever it may be, TAKE a Leap of faith, and just try and see what happens. I'm a living testimony of His LOVE and MERCY through Jesus. Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God, and this is the living spoken word where the more it saturates your being and more and more infilling of the truth, a continuous glorious transformation happens day by day, and the old self is going away and the new is taking over. Thanks for asking the question because this is so deep that it's AWESOME. In the LOVE and TRUTH of The LIVING WATER, SERENETIME
