161 | shew thee my faith by my works | 1 John 3:12 | serenetime | 63638
teregram123, I hear what you're saying. I have done a major study on the parable of the wheat and the tares. I've broke it all down into the original language (greek). Actually it was on Matthew 13, which has many parables. On Microsoft word, I am on page 90, and I am still not down with the chapter. Oh, what an enlightenment. Faith and works go hand in hand. One has to have faith for as to do the works. Faith in whom you trust. In Matt.7:20, the word fruit is translated as NT:2590 karpos (kar-pos); probably from the base of NT:726; fruit (as plucked), literally or figuratively: KJV - fruit. NT:726 harpazo (har-pad-zo); from a derivative of NT:138; to sieze (in various applications): KJV - catch (away, up), pluck, pull, take (by force NT:138 haireomai (hahee-reh-om-ahee); probably akin to NT:142; to take for oneself, i.e. to prefer: KJV - choose. Some of the forms are borrowed from a cognate hellomai (hel-lom-ahee); which is otherwise obsolete. NT:142 airo (ah-ee-ro); a primary root; to lift up; by implication, to take up or away; figuratively, to raise (the voice), keep in suspense (the mind), specially, to sail away (i.e. weigh anchor); by Hebraism [compare OT:5375] to expiate sin: KJV - away with, bear (up), carry, lift up, loose, make to doubt, put away, remove, take (away, up). OT:5375 nasa (naw-saw); or nacah (Ps 4:6 [OT:7]) (naw-saw'); a primitive root; to lift, in a great variety of applications, literal and figurative, absol. and rel. (as follows): KJV - accept, advance, arise, (able to, [armor], suffer to) bear (-er, up), bring (forth), burn, carry (away), cast, contain, desire, ease, exact, exalt (self), extol, fetch, forgive, furnish, further, give, go on, help, high, hold up, honorable (man), lade, lay, lift (self) up, lofty, marry, magnify, needs, obtain, pardon, raise (up), receive, regard, respect, set (up), spare, stir up, swear, take (away, up), utterly, wear, yield. OT:7 abad (Aramaic) (ab-ad); corresponding to OT:6: KJV - destroy, perish. OT:6 abad (aw-bad); a primitive root; properly, to wander away, i.e. lose oneself; by implication to perish (causative, destroy): KJV - break, destroy (-uction), not escape, fail, lose, (cause to, make) perish, spend, and surely, take, be undone, utterly, be void of, have no way to flee. Very interesting, Huh? I know this is a deep subject. But as regarding faith and works. The translation for faith in these verses is- James 2:20 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? KJV James 2:26-3:1 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. KJV NT:4102 pistis (pis'-tis); from NT:3982; persuasion, i.e. credence; moral conviction (of religious truth, or the truthfulness of God or a religious teacher), especially reliance upon Christ for salvation; abstractly, constancy in such profession; by extension, the system of religious (Gospel) truth itself: KJV - assurance, belief, believe, faith, fidelity. NT:3982 peitho (pi'-tho); a primary verb; to convince (by argument, true or false); by analogy, to pacify or conciliate (by other fair means); reflexively or passively, to assent (to evidence or authority), to rely (by inward certainty): KJV - agree, assure, believe, have confidence, be (wax) conflent, make friend, obey, persuade, trust, yield. I really liked you question, and I apologize for not being able at this time to get into Revelations. I have to take my son to school. I am not finished, and I have a tenacy to be long winded. Talk to me, I want to discuss this more. Great subject In Love of the Living Water of Truth, SERENETIME |

162 | GOD MANIFESTED INTO FLESH TO BECOME JESU | 1 John 4:2 | serenetime | 28333
Superlotto, John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. Also 1Tim. 3:16, And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, recieved up into glory. Matt. 1:23, Behold a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. From Is.7:14. 163 | Rev 1:20 | Rev 1:20 | serenetime | 27917
Branon51, Hi, I just wanted to mention that if you go to Rev.1:10, it says that John was in the Spirit on the Lord's day. So lets remember this is the day Jesus returns. Check out 1Thess4:13-18. It says in verse 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of god: and the dead in Christ shall rise first, verse 17,then we which are alive, and remain, shall be caught together with them in the clouds to meet the lord in the air. Also in 1Cor.15:38-41. Paul is explaining in verse 39 the differences of the flesh bodies of men and beasts, fish, birds. Verse 40 is telling us that there are differences in the the bodies of heaven, celestial, terrestrial. Verse 41, say's there is glory of the sun and moon, and stars and that stars differ from one another. I always advice everyone that it is always a good practice to read he whole chapter of the books to get a better understanding. Now in 1Cor.15:52 That we will change in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trump shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. verse 54 says mortal puts on immortality. So here we see in all these passages, that this is the Lord's day, and that the last trump has sounded, and the dead are rising incorruptible, and we have changed from mortal to immortality (Spiritual). and we see that there was most definitely angels with Jesus. It further shows us this in 2Thess.1:7, and to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels. All of chapter 1 is good to read and all of chapter 2 is also good to read because he is trying to reassure us and not be troubled by his first letter to us. So in Rev.1:10, we now can see that John has changed into immortality, into the Spirit, and he heard behind him a great voice as of a trumpet. Here's the 7th trump. Verse 20, is now alot easier to understand, the seven stars are angels of the churches and the seven golden candlesticks are the churches. Yes Paul says he show's you a mystery in 1Cor.15:51, but it really is not much of a mystery any more. 1Thess.4,5. 2Thess. 1Cor.15 go hand in hand. I hope this has helped you to understand Rev.1:10 better. Take Care. In the Living Water of the Father, Serenetime
164 | Will we go thru the tribulation | Rev 3:10 | serenetime | 28312
Shell, In Rev.1:20, it says that the candlesticks are the churches, and then in Rev.11:4, it says these are the two candlesticks. Gee, why are the two candlesticks (churches) still around? I see no rapture there. Serenetime
165 | Will we go thru the tribulation | Rev 3:10 | serenetime | 28320
retxar,In Rev.11:4 it says that "the two olive trees AND the candlesticks. Meaning with the two olive trees. Every time in the new testament where it speaks of candlestick or candlesticks it's the same translation going back to the original greek. Yes, Zech.4:11 speaks of the same thing, the two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof? meaning a candlestick on both sides. I'm not questioning the two olive trees that you saying are Joshua and Zerubbabel. But I would have to check that one out. What I'm showing is that candlestick, or candlesticks is churches in Rev.11:4. Serenetime
166 | Will we go thru the tribulation | Rev 3:10 | serenetime | 28368
retxar, I can see what you are saying regarding the two olive trees and the two candlesticks, but candlesticks is like the candlesticks in Rev.1:20. Could it be that these are the two witnesses Philadelphia, and Smyrna? And Would you agree that John in Rev.1:10 where it says, I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Verse 11) Saying I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, what thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. It was the Lord's day, and John was in the Spirit. Would agree that the Lord's day is when Jesus return's, and the voice as a trumpet could possibly be the last trump coinciding with 1 Cor.15:52-53, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead in Christ shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. Verse 53) For this corruptible must put on incorruptible, and this mortal must put on immortality. Let me know what you think. In the Love of Jesus, Serenetime
167 | Rev 3:16 lukewarm | Rev 3:16 | serenetime | 35062
Zach, In this old church I used to attend they gave this saying "straddling the fence". I've always loved that saying, because what it was saying is that the person or persons are inbetween on their direction and discision in life whether to serve God and commit to him fully, or continue to be doing things that the world around us does that is contrary to Holy Living and Living by what the Word of God says. It's like the Christian who lives like the world all during the week, and on Sundays goes to Church and portrays him or herself to serving God fully and completely. These people have not totally made a full commitment to living and serving God fully in every moment of their lives. I hope this helps you. In the Love of the Living Water, Serenetime
168 | Rev 3:16 lukewarm | Rev 3:16 | serenetime | 35073
Zach, I don't want to insult anyone, but then again there can be people who claim to be Christians that have no desire to give up certain things. I know for myself I have had some problems in some areas in my own life after being saved in 1986. But professing to be a Christian is not all it takes. I had a hard time giving up some things I knew were contrary to the word of God, but was constantly seeking God's Wisdom and strength to overcome. Alot of us have had this problem, but we should always have a desire to overcome this. We will always be ever confronted with this world and it's evil, but always striving and asking for guidance. But I think in this perticular scripture Jesus is talking to one's that truly have no desire to fully give up the ways of the world, they're straddling the fence. They want the best of both worlds. It has to be of the heart, in that the Father know's our heart and thoughts and desires, and knows if we desire true holiness in serving him. We all struggle, but if our heart is truly right, and we make mistakes we can be forgiven for our mistakes. Praise God for his Mercy!!! Love in the Father's Perfection, Serenetime
169 | What does each Seal represent? | Rev 5:1 | serenetime | 21320
Hi Peaches, Tim gave an excellent break down of the seals, and what they say. In Rev.5:1, it goes back to the original language the word "seal" is translated, in the greek the word is (sphragis) a signet (a fencing in or protecting from misappropation); the stamp impressed (as a mark of privacy, or genuineness), literally or figuratively:-seal. Hope this helps, In the Father's love, Serenetime
170 | In last days will people buy/sell Jesus? | Rev 6:5 | serenetime | 27808
Hotrod, Ever since the Sept.11th tragedy, and because of this people now realize that life is really temporary, and we are not exempt from terrorism even within our own country also by the Anthrax scare and more people dying. Remember the day of prayer where all religions and beliefs were all piled into a stadium hosted by Oprah Winfrey in the New York area after the world trade tragedy? And all prayed together even with their different beliefs. Bible sales and literature sales have most definitely gone way up because people always forget God Until tragedy strikes. And this was so major and shocking that people are numb and in shock and I think will be for a long time. Just like in the time of World Warll many thought that Hitler was the antichrist and the religious leaders and preachers preyed upon the people's fears and taught heavily on the Hell and Brimstone doctrine to scare them for their own ill gotten gain, and I believe it's happening now as well. What the people need now is showing the LOVE of Jesus more than scare tactics. God is not Fear, but of Love, and mercy and tenderness. We are to Love one another, Love and Kiss our children every chance we get and Love our neighbor, and Love our Country. Let this Love flow from us through Iesous (Jesus)always. I feel that many people have lost their love for their fellowman and hearts have been hardened and callous for so long. Time to soften up, don't you agree. 172 | Who are the Gog and Magog? | Rev 20:8 | serenetime | 21338
Hi Joy, Just another scripture regarding your question. In Ezekiel 39:11 it says, And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves IN Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog, and all his multitude: and they call it The valley of Hamon-gog. This is what is referred to as the battle of Armageddon. Hope this helps you in your desire for a better understanding of The Father's Word Serenetime
