AMPLIFIED 2015 | Hebrews 13:17 ¶ Obey your [spiritual] leaders and submit to them [recognizing their authority over you], for they are keeping watch over your souls and continually guarding your spiritual welfare as those who will give an account [of their stewardship of you]. Let them do this with joy and not with grief and groans, for this would be of no benefit to you. |

Bible Note: Mommapbs, If you do not agree with your Pastors interpretation of Scriptures and you find yourself questioning and not comfortable, you have done the right thing by making every effort to discuss this with him. After a few attempts and it seems he just doesn't seem to agree with you then I would ask him to show you why he interprets it the way he does. If he chooses to not use a good Bible Concordance which translate back to the original language and he's only reading a scripture in a chapter without reading the whole chapter to get the correct interpretation as best he can with these tools, And he doesn't see the interpretation you get is agreeable to him and you as well are not using additonal tools to help you get a better understanding. Then after all that ,it is your right to find a Church that's agreeable to your beliefs and interpretation of scripture. Pastors have a big responsibility to leading and guiding christians to correct translation and interpretation to God'S word, I feel that all who teaches needs to realize this. All will be held acoountable to whom they taught and led in their Church. If it was me, I would be open and seeking the truth in the Word daily. You don't want to stay where you're uncomfortable and in a SERIOUS disagreement. If you stayed and found he led you the wrong way and you never studied for yourself seriously in depth, then that's on you and you need to think of the cosequences. Also, I'm real leary of commentaries, but that too is an option in your studies. Oh there is so much out there for the serious Bible scholar. Good Luck in your decisions and God will show you the way. Stay humble and open to his guidance. I hope I've helped. In the Living Water, SERENETIME |
