'By employing a FACE VALUE method of interpretation, the reader of Scripture attempts to discover the normal, natural, customary sense of the text as it was intended by the Author/author (God/human) at the time that it was written. "Be diligent to present yourself approved..." How can you say this? Romans 10 verse 8-10 doesn't say you have to study, I don't think. Philippians 2 verse 13 says God does it all. Just let the Spirit teach you. That's what the Holy Spirit does. Don't have to study. Otherwise what's the baptism in the Holy Spirit for? Romans 10:9,10 doesn't say a thing about studying the Bible. "Not of works that any should boastt". inhisname |
