You can start yourself by looking in the strongs for the word "mark". The first apparent mark is on Cain in Gen 4:15, the Hebrew #226. The first use of the word or number is usually the most accurate definition. Then start with the mark in Rev 13:16, the Greek #5480. Follow the numbers and you will be on the path to the understanding of the mark. You will need to understand the parable of the sower and the wheat and the tares. If you do not understand these you will not understand the mark. There are no mysteries hidden that shall not be revealed. Understanding the mark is where all these questions I have been asking you lead, but you have to work for understanding too. By the way what do you think the mark is?, before you started with me. Casiv When we started this you said you had an explanation of the mark of the beast found in The Book of Revelation. I asked you to enlighten me and tell me what it is. Since then you have asked all kinds of questions that I can see no reason for asking unless you were trying to bait be into some kind of discussion in order to deflect my question. In any case we are back where we started, with you saying you know what the mark is and me saying okay tell me. I understand the mark of Cain which ended in the flood. It differed from the mark of Rev in that the mark of Cain was a mark for preservation while the mark of Rev is the mark of those who want to honor the beast. So I see no correlation. I have chased Greek #5480 and quite frankly I know as much now as I did when I started. It is used 7 times once in Acts referring to idols and 6 times in Revelation taking about the Mark. If you know what the mark of the beast is then tell me if you don't then just say you don't and let's get on with life. |
