Jensen, I think you fail to have a open mind about numbers. I have done extensive research on biblical numerics, and I've come to the conclusion that they are very prevalent in the Word of God. I never heard Casiv say he was reading Taro cards, or hallmark cards or using poker cards and that he was giving your future, by calling him Miss Cleo was wrong. All he's asking is that you seek it it out. Yes there are more Taro readers out there. everyday on the T.V. It's to steer even the Christians away from the Bible, Doesn't Jesus say "seek and you'll find". If you believe that the Word of God was inspired by God and you want to know all there is to know about the Word, and I know you do, then you will find that there is a significance. First of all there is in every book in the Bible what they call Introverb, and Introbrae, which means that it begins in one subject and ends in the same way. By this you can see that it wasn't written by man. It is written in such a complex way that there is no man who with his intelligent can write it in such a numeric way.Take the time in reading the scriptures, and notice this. Just reading and thinking you know what it means in these end times is not enough. You know when someone will ask, "How can you tell me that the Bible is true?". Every Christian I know says the same thing and most people don't see it. I'm very fortunate to have a Companion Bible to lead the way for me, and it is very necessary to have Strongs Concordance to trust to give you the true meaning of the Word of God . It gives you the true meaning of every word in the Old Testament ( Hebrew, Chaldee, Aramaic), and in the New Testament, the Greek. See I have a problem with anyone that tells you to read a book by someone else. Didn't Jesus say, "trust no man?" Yes, God is there by his Spirit giving you understanding, but we as one's seeking the scriptures are not to just sit back and overlook what it underlying, or obvious. I ask as a concerned friend, that you just make an honest effort to seek them out more thoroughly, and if I'm wrong, then I'll back down. But by insulting Casiv is wrong. We as fellow seekers needing to be there for one another. In the Father's Love, Serenetime | ||||||

Dear Friend Serenetime........I seized upon the word "constellations" in my post to casiv and if you would please show me the place of astrology (not numerics) in Christianity I will have a new study :-) You further presume I have no concordance and no discernment. You are wrong on both counts. You also presume that CASIV is a male. I assumed she was a female (hence Miss Cleo) since I have discerned that CASIV is easily deceived by numbers. Jesus never said "trust no man" as kalos has pointed out to you, but Paul's letter to Timothy did mention a couple of things; First,1 Tim 4:1 describes what would happen in later times (following deceiving spirits) and second, 1 Tim 2:14 tells us that it was the woman who was deceived. Women just seem to go for this stuff. No, not all women, just as some men are easily deceived. I did not think that I was insulting as you say because I responded in a manner like Casivs' earlier posts. I try to talk to a person on their level, wherever they are, and however they talk. I blend in well with unbelievers too if I have to so that I may get to the Good News somehow. Some cultures (sub-cultures actually) use language that may seem insulting to us (or me) but if that is the way they communicate then fine. I try to make the point using the familiar language style. You do not need to come to Casivs' defense unless you know that she was insulted. But....I apologize to you and to Casiv for my reference to Miss Cleo (Tarot reader) but I am at a loss to come up with a better comparison at this time :-) In the Father's love indeed.......Jensen |

Matt 18:21 Then came Peter unto Him, and said," Lord how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Matt 18:22 Jesus saith unto him,"I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, seventy times seven. As for trust no man: Jer 17:5 Thus saith the Lord;" Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord. And Luke 18:9 And He spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: Regarding Constellations: In the first mention of the heavenly bodies, the purpose of the Creator is clearly stated, Gen 1:14-19 reveals the fact that they were created, not only "to divide the day from night, and to give light upon the earth"; but, they were set "for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years". Signs therefore, of something or some One to come. Those who understand them are enlightened by them. Those who do not may well be "dismayed" Jer 10:2 The stars were all named by God. Psalm 147:4 God is the God of the earth and the heavens and astrology has everything to do with Christianity, it tells the story of Christ starting with Virgo which is the Virgin Birth and there are twelve constellations which the number twelve denotes governmental perfection. I did not make this up the Father did and He named the constellations. Now you have two new studies, numbers and constellations. May Jesus show you the way! Matt 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged Matt 7:2 For with what judgement ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. Matt 7:7 Ask and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: Matt 7:8 For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Also I am a man, so don't assume things and you will stay out of the hot seat and it sounds like you are putting women down saying they are easily deceived. You better take a look at your own self and remember if were not for a Woman you would not be here. If I offend you some how just say so and I will be a little softer. All men and women are created equal, just some more blind than others. We have to admonish each other not put each other down. Next time it's Mr. Cleo.LOL May Jesus show you the compassions of Love for your brothers and sisters and the enemy not cause you to be sucked into his tricks of division, greed, power, jealousy or envy. |

Casiv.......Once again you do not answer the question. The question was one of Astrology. It must be obvious to all by now that you are on some mission other than a bible study. You make things up,...take verses out of context,...and say very mean things to people who mean you no harm. My observation is that you put more faith in numbers, which were not part of the manuscripts, than you do in Jesus and what He said, and which is part of the manuscript. I can not speculate on why except that, perhaps, one day you found yourself bored with the plain teaching of the Bible. Please leave me alone. Trying to follow your illogic has become tedious. God Bless...Jensen |
