30 represents the blood of Christ, MAT 26:15, 27:3 12 represents governmental perfection, Gen 17:20, Gen 49:28, Num 1:1-16 11 represents judgement and disorder(confusion) 11 is much more complex to show you within the scripture, but thanks for the homework. If 11 is not disorder why did the disciples when they became eleven have to add one more and not two more? There was a choice made to have 12 only, not 13 or 11 but twelve because that is the number of governmental perfection. |

Greetings Casiv! Thanks for the quick response! Your answer demonstrates the problem I have with biblical numerics. Let's look at the verses you gave me to support the significance of the numbers 30, 12, and 11. 1) The number 30: Matt. 26:15 and 27:3 both simply say that Judas was paid 30 pieces of silver for his part in the betrayal of Christ. Not one of these verses says, "30 has some special signficance." This is not to say that 30 has no significance. Ex. 21:32 tells us that 30 pieces of silver is the redemption price of a slave and Zech. 11:12 tells us that 30 pieces of silver would be the price paid for the services of the rejected Shepherd. 2) The number 12: Gen. 17:20, Gen. 49:28, and Num. 1:1-16 mention 12 tribes of Israel. Each son of Jacob was the leader of a tribe. He had 12 sons, so there were 12 tribes. But, not one of these verses says, "12 represents governmental perfection." 3) The number 11: Acts 1:20 tells us why the Apostles decided to add a replacement for Judas. They felt that Ps. 69:25 and Ps. 109:8 indicated that someone should take Judas' place. But, nowhere does Scripture say, "11 represents judgement and disorder." These are all assumptions that you have made or read about the supposed meaning of these numbers. However, these assumptions are not supported by Scripture. Neither are they particularly relevant. God's word has plenty to say to us. We don't need to look for hidden meanings it it. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Does the servant amongst you will be the greatest mean anything to you? The life of your SAVIOR, HIS BLOOD was only worth a slaves wages and you question what 30 represents. How blatant must it be for you to get over yourself and find a list of numerics and open your mind to learn something new. Reread what you just wrote to me. Do you really still not see it? These so called assumptions are not mine! See Matthew 13:14-15 for help. In GEN the FATHER has chosen 12 tribes of people and has told Moses to get 1 from each tribe to oversee thousands is this not governing? Noone is forcing you to look for anything and if you feel you don't want to look for the meanings then don't. There is always the day of rest. |
