1 | What does baptism consist? | 1 John 5:6 | resurrectioner | 23275 | ||
God's eternal Salvation to you all I think that the baptism in water in Jesus' name or in the name of the Father,and the Son,and of the Holy Ghost consists the blood of Jesus.Martin Luther taught that the water of the baptism is from the Golgotha,where Jesus gave His blood and water from His side.The connection of salvation is for all who turn to God in repentance and will believe in Jesus' blood.The baptism in water means that you are asking for a good conscience from God by His Son Jesus.The blood of the Lamb will save all believers through baptism in Jesus. Am I right? |

HALF TRUTH: "...according to James 2:24 we are not justified by faith alone either." TRUTH: According to James 2:24 ALONE we are not justified by faith ALONE. You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone. (James 2:24, NASB) For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. (Romans 4:2 KJV) Which is true and correct -- Romans 4 or James 2? Do Paul and James contradict each other? If they do, then the Bible contradicts itself. If the Bible contradicts itself, then how can it be inspired of God? Fact: Paul and James do not contradict each other. Fact: The Bible does not contradict itself. Fact: "All Scripture is inspired by God" (2 Tim 3:16). Fact: God, who cannot lie, never contradicts Himself. Conclusion: Romans 4 and James 2 are both true. "One of the basic principles of biblical interpretation is the analogia scriptura, the analogy of Scripture. In other words, we must compare Scripture with Scripture in order to understand its full and proper sense. And since the Bible doesn't contradict itself, any interpretation of a specific passage that contradicts the general teaching of the Bible is to be rejected. Since the general teaching of the Bible is . . . that baptism and other forms of ritual are not necessary for salvation, no individual passage could teach otherwise" (http://www.gty.org/IssuesandAnswers/archive/baptism.htm). James 2:21 *justified by works.* "This does not contradict Paul's clear teaching that Abraham was justified before God by grace alone through faith alone (Rom. 3:20; 4:1-25; Gal. 3:6, 11). (...) "James' teaching perfectly complements Paul's writings; salvation is DETERMINED by faith alone (Eph. 2:8,) and DEMONSTRATED by faithfulness to obey God's will alone (Eph. 2:10)" (emphasis added, page 1930, MacArthur Study Bible, Word Publishing, 1997). |

Shalom - God's peace Is baptism necessary in Salvation?Is it important and necessary to partake of the Communion?Is it necessary to listen the Gospel?Is it necessary to be in God's grace for eternal Salvation?Is it necessary to be in faith,which consists the reality of God's good work in crusifixion of His Son?I agree,that faith is necessary to a man to get God's justification because of His Son's blood.Without faith it is impossible to please the Holy God.But faith is by grace,too.It comes from listening and listening comes from Christ's Word."He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;but he that believeth not shall be damned."I believe,that I'll save by Jesus' blood,when I believe His crusifixion for me.I am connected to His Salvation by faith,which comes from Word.The Word became flesh.The Holy flesh is given to us in the cross of Jesus,and God is dealing the cleansing blood through the knowledge of the Word.I believe,that baptism -as the Holy Communion,too-is for those,who will get the Salvation by faith.AND the baptism truly consists the Holy blood of Jesus.The baptism in christianity is not the law.It is connected with eternal grace,because of the Holy blood.The whole knowledge of the Gospel benefits only those,who will receive Him by faith."He came unto his own,and his own received him not.But as many as received him,to them gave he power to become the sons of God,even to them that believe on his name:Which were born,not of blood,nor of the will of the flesh,nor of the will of man,but of God." |
