1 | A SIN TO FILE BANKRUPTCY | 1 Pet 4:10 | Hank | 130105
Emmaus, rarely does a week go by that my wife and I don't get at least a couple of credit card offers. Not long ago I said to her, "Why don't we accept them all, max them out, and with all that dough, retreat to a very private Shangri-la somewhere in Borneo." At least there are pleasant aspects to the sinister thought. :-) And perhaps it would teach the credit card companies a much-needed lesson to be more prudent and responsible with their lavish offers of 'easy' credit -- and stop bugging the public to death with junk phone calls and mailings. --Hank

Hank Many cards offer things like store gift cards, or a percent discount on the first purchase. If there is no limitations in the small print you can take advantage of the offer then destroy the card and write a letter to the company saying you disposed of the card and do not care to use it again. If you do this often enough you get put on a bad prospect list and will stop receiving many card offers. BE VERY CAREFUL some cards have in the small print restrictions and limitations that if you take advantage of the come on you are required to use the card so much or keep it so long etc. EdB |
