Dear Cheri, The woman said to the serpent, "From THE FRUIT OF THE TREES of the garden we may eat; but from THE FRUIT of the tree WHICH IS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GARDEN, God has said, 'You shall not eat from it OR TOUCH IT, or you will die.’” (Gen 3:2-3) The LORD God commanded the man, saying, "From ANY TREE of the garden you may eat FREELY; but from the tree of THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL you shall not eat, FOR IN THE DAY THAT YOU EAT FROM IT you will SURELY die.” (Gen 2:16-17) You see the diifference between the verses. I think they do not render the idea that Eve lied, but just that she was not entirely submissive thus expressing God's words her own way. 1 Tim 2:11-14 Shalom Azure |

It cannot be correct that Eve "was not entirely submissive." This implies that sin was already in Eve. | ||||||

Dear Lionstrong, You've got the point. I agree. Thank you for the correction :-) Shalom Azure |
