1 | is it ok to lie in certain cases | Col 3:9 | Morant61 | 207979 | ||
Greetings Cheri! Since you brought up the issue of personal sacrifice, one alternative to lying would be to refuse to answer the question and trust God to protect you. It is not a lie to refuse to tell someone something that he or she has no business knowing to begin with. :-) My concern about this topic has been two fold from the start. 1) God's Word makes no exceptions. 2) God's power has no limits. Many of the posts made it seem like, 'If I don't lie, people will die'. Isn't God able to deliver in countless ways in His great power and sovereignty? Before I would accept the notion that I must sin in order to help someone, I would trust God to do it without sin. Have a great day my sister! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Shalom and good morning Tim, OK, you DO have me on that one :-). Of course, if saying nothing were an option, that would definitely be the one to use, agreed. Have a great day yourself Me? I'll be having a discussion with the sandman after working all night shortly. Cheri |

Greetings Cheri! So, you are a night shifter too! :-) I have worked nights for most of my life. Currently, in addition to pastoring a church, I work as a baker. Have a great sleep my friend! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
