1 | What do we do with the OT? | Rom 7:6 | BradK | 150072 | ||
Hi iktoose, Again, I think we're straying from the main issue. I'm not advocating or at all saying we should neglect, or cease caring about anybody! It is not my responsiblity to ferret out illegal immigrants. As John Maxwell says, "Where you have no responsibility, you have no need for an opinion." But, it is my responsibility to avoid knowingly breaking laws! However, I do not advocate harboring illegal aliens for obvious reasons. Do you? I think there is a line between showing Christian love and compassion and breaking the law. I don't wish to pontificate on Thoreau's "Civil Disobedience". My question would be: what is the biblical issue and our mandate as Christians? Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |

Yep, you're right that we strayed from the main issue. However, it is very important issue in my journey of Christian faith. As soon as I read your post, this verse came to my head, "By faith Rahab the harlot did not perish along with those who were disobedient, after she had welcomed the spies in peace." I DO NOT want to break any laws. But sometimes I have to. iktoose |
