When I first put the question up I was hoping to see some discussion on real life applications... Based on the last two posts by BornTwice and lionheart, is it safe to infer that if my intention is good I can break the law? Let me ask a hypothetical question for you to consider. Let's say I see a poor illegal immigrant family and my heart desires to help them. What if I hire them to work in my company? Here I am breaking the law by hiring illegal immigrants but my heart desires to help out strangers in our land. Is this right thing to do? If not, what is wrong? iktoose |

Scripture ... Romans 13:1ff ............... Since it is against the law of the land to hire illegal immigrants, it doesn't matter what your heart desires are. There are alternatives - make a way for them to return to their home and -- hire them in their county -- bring them back legally |

According to some, Mark 7 says that Jesus did away with the food laws, permitting anyone to eat any animal, clean or unclean. If Jesus revoked a law of Moses, then that would be a violation of the law. What do you think Jesus did in Mark 7? MJH |
