1 | Are we free from the Law? | Rom 7:6 | iktoose | 149977
Here BornTwice is saying we don't care about some laws such as dietary, cleanliness, and some other standards(??). This tells me that we are free from certain laws but not all of the law, correct? It seems that we can break some laws but not the ones WE think they are more important. That to me is interpreting the Law? iktoose |

2 | Are we free from the Law? | Rom 7:6 | Hank | 149991
iktoose: How can you be sure that Born Twice is wrong and you are right on this matter? Do all laws of God apply to all men of every age and nation, or were not there in fact covenantal laws, such as dietary and ceremonial, that applied to the Jews, and moral laws that apply to God's people everywhere in every age? Scripture recognizes certain distinctions between the two, and nothing illustrates this principle more clearly than the account in Acts 10 of the council at Jerusalem at which the circumcision question was settled. It is not a matter of our liberty to break any of God's laws that WE (as you stress) deem important. It is a matter of understanding and applying the command of 2 Timothy 2:15: to rightly divide the word of truth. Do you, for example, make it a practice to engage in animal sacrifice? Or are you building an ark? ..... I do not believe Born Twice should be charged with misinterpretation of Scripture in this instance, but I do believe that you have misinterpreted Born Twice's intended meaning. I further infer from your post that your knowledge and grasp of this subject does not put you in a very viable position of being equipped to advise or critique others on it. --Hank
