Yes you must be baptized and Acts 2:38...Acts 4:12... tells us how to be baptized and why. Acts 10:34, 11:16. The book of acts is the beginning of the church age. The gosples is the live of Jesus...Acts meanign the actions...Peter did as he was tought by Jesus to do. Remember what Jesus told Peter when asked who did Peter think he was...and Peter said that he preceived that He was the Chirst and Jesus replies to everyone standing around listening that... that upon this rock (Peter meaning rock) I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail. So when Jesus asended up into glory...Peter and the rest went up into the upper room and the Acts began... |

If water saves us, Jesus shed His blood on the cross needlessly. The clearest message in all of Scripture is that Jesus Christ shed His blood for the forgiveness of our sins. It is absolutely foundational to Christianity. To promote any other doctrine than that, to suggest any saving agent but the blood of Jesus Christ, to introduce any saving act or works that we can perform ourselves, is to deal in heresy. --Hank | ||||||

I agree that water does not save -- it is the Blood of Christ. But, and this is a big But, it is only in BAPTISM that you can come into contact with the cleansing blood of Jesus. You have to be baptised into his death. I believe you are saved by baptism, but it is not the water that saves. It is the submissive obedience to the command of Christ (Mark 16:16) | ||||||
