Subject: Do you have to be baptized to be saved? |
Bible Note: Water baptism indeed is a contributor to our salvation. Christ said this in this verse. Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Jesus show us how important is the water baptism. Mr 1:9 ΒΆ And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. Do you think Christ do it for nothing? Faith alone? Let us consult paul of that faith alone saves. The very person that spoke about faith alone want to understand that "even we have all faith" "that can remove mountains" if you have no Charity "you are nothing" 1Co 13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. Are we really need not good works? Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Yes we are not justified by "works" works of law: Ga 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. But we are created in Christ unto "good works" the very next verse after Eph 2:9 said Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. We dont need a "works of law" but we are created unto "good works" and water baptism is one "good works" We are callled for holiness: Heb 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: And I dont think refusing to water baptism is one of the called holiness. Are your church practice water baptism? God bless, |
