1 | Do you have to be baptized to be saved? | Rom 6:3 | Searcher56 | 128902
Country Girl, If you add to His finished work (John 19:30), you are adding to what it takes to be saved, that is belief on Him (Acts 16:30-31, Roms 10:13 and others). The passage you cited is answered in post 113478. The Scripture is clear and consistent. Other passages used by those who think the baptism is needed to be saved have been twisted from the truth, therefore is trash. If one believes they need baptism to be saved are not saved and will not go to heaven, unless they renounced their false ways. While Alexander Campbell preached baptismal regeneration, he was never baptized this way. |

2 | Do you have to be baptized to be saved? | Rom 6:3 | Country Girl | 129171
As I mentioned in my post, it seems the verses you've cited at the very least support the idea of questioning the requirement of baptism which I guess you're saying is one of the required acts after being saved. While the verses I've cited give clear and convincing proof that baptism is very important and critically required. So I can only encourage you to study all the scriptures cited throughout the Bible as I mentioned in my previous post, AND encourage you to pray on this matter. We do have very strong assurances that God will judge us in accordance with ALL of His Son's Words. Blessings to you, my friend. Country Girl |
