1 | Do you have to be baptized to be saved? | Rom 6:3 | Searcher56 | 81019 | ||
Samantha ... I am sorry that I come across as being hostile. However, there are some that say something that is not Biblical. I think you want Romans 10:15-13, 9-10 ... except be baptized, in water. I do not see it as a requirement to being saved. Searcher |

Thank you, but we will have to disagree. Wouldn't your point here also mean that repentance wasn't a requirement to be saved? Oh well. - Samantha Hear because faith comes through hearing. Believe because God loves you. Repent because Jesus died for sin. Confess because it is good news. Be Baptized to be united with Christ. Stay faithful 'til death and you will receive the crown of life. |

Scripture ... Mar 10:38-39, Luk 12:50, Rom 6:3ff ... Samantha, I said WATER baptism was not a requirement to being saved. When we are saved, we automatically are baptized into Christ, which isn't water baptism. Romans 6:3ff is linked to what He said (Mar 10:38-39, Luk 12:50). Was He talking about water baptism? I doubt it. Do not presume. Repentance is needed according to Acts 2:38. If you read Tim's or my posts on this, we point out that water baptism is not required. We also show that Acts 10:44-48 supports our view. You said "Stay faithful 'til death and you will receive the crown of life" ... does that mean if I ever am not faithful I will lose my crown ... and if I lose my crown, will I no longer be saved?
