1 | Can a toddler go to heaven? | Rom 3:23 | Morant61 | 76984
Greetings John! Could 1 Cor. 3:1 be the answer to your question? While they ought to have been functioning as 'spiritual', under the direction of the Holy Spirit, they were in fact 'unspiritual', fuctioning according to the flesh. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

2 | Can a toddler go to heaven? | Rom 3:23 | John Reformed | 77003
Sorry Tim, 1 cor 2:14 is much too strong in it's language for me to accept that it is describing christians. Regardless of the extent of their immaturity, they still have the Spirit indwelling them, and I am sure that you know the scope of His ministry to the saints. Paul says that in order for a person to properly appraise the things of God, he must have the Spirit of God.(See vv11,12). John |

3 | Can a toddler go to heaven? | Rom 3:23 | Morant61 | 77010
Greetings John! Here is where context helps answer the question. The word 'spiritual', or 'pneumatikos', is used 4 times in 1 Cor. 2-3. Twice in 1 Cor. 2:13 - "This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words." Once in 1 Cor. 2:15 - "The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man?s judgment:" And, once in 1 Cor. 3:1 - "Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly?mere infants in Christ." 1 Cor. 2:13 and 2:15 bracket the verse you quoted, and form a contrast between 'spiritual' and 'natural'. Yet, in 1 Cor. 3:1, Paul says that he could not address them as 'spiritual'. We are agreed that Paul was writing to Christians. So, why couldn't he address them as 'spiritual'? Because, they were acting 'worldly', and not 'spiritual'. Just a thought! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

4 | Can a toddler go to heaven? | Rom 3:23 | John Reformed | 77024
Saying that he could not address them as spiritual is not the same as saying they thought the things of God were foolishness and could not even understand them because the lacked any spiritual discernment at all! Mamma's calling me to bed. John |
