1 | Visit other churches? | Rom 16:16 | charis | 33949 | ||
Dear Saints of the forum, Just curious, but for those among you that are committed members of a local church: How many other churches have you visited in say, the last 5 years? Of those, how many were of different denominations? Someone is going to ask, "Why do you ask?" I'll tell you after I get some answers! :-) In Christ Jesus, charis |

Charis- In the area that I live in (VERY small town) we have the basic denominational churches and not a lot of variety. I have recently switched churches due to the fact that I was not being used as I wanted to be used. My schedule is also contrary to what a lot of the church scheduled events were. I now belong to another Pentecostal-Evangelical church that is very small and is a little distance away but in which I feel I am really contributing and that I am a valuable member. I have dreams of doing local prison outreach ministry and that is right in line with their dreams, also. We have group meetings where we learn to practically apply what the bible teaches and we are a family and all are equally important to the body of Christ. I have been in many of the local churches over the years and I see where different churches touch the hearts of different people and personalities. Unfortuantely, I have seen too many in all the churches that see church as just an obligation and once Sunday service is over - so is their concern and regard for how God sees them. How long until we know why you asked this question? Blessings to you- Debbie |

Dear Debbie, Greetings and blessings in the name of the Lord Jesus! My apologies for not getting back to you before I tried your patience! :-) Thank you for your reply. Do you feel that the church you now attend is one that you could commit yourself to, and that they would be committed to you? I really think this is God's will for all His sheep. In the local church His Word and His Spirit (should) give abundant life! By the way, I have since answered some of the other forumers. Take a peek and tell me what you think?
