1 | Faith apart from reading the Bible? | Rom 10:17 | srbaegon | 20354 | ||
Time Out............................... Kalos and Bill, Let's calm down a bit. Kalos made a good point. I quote with revision... "To imply that somehow the Bible is less true than Christ is simply [improper]." I think this is what Kalos should have been driving at, and I agree. One cannot divorce the written word from the Word made flesh. Steve |

Steve: You write "One cannot divorce the written word from the Word made flesh." I agree with you absolutely. Christ is the Word made flesh. One does not contradict the other. One is not in opposition to the other. Since Christ IS the Living Word and the Bible IS the Written Word, how, then, does one separate the two? How can one honor the Living Word while demeaning the Written Word? To do so is illogical and the height of [improper]. As it says in Psalm 138:2: Thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. (KJV) For You have exalted above all else Your name and Your word and You have magnified Your word above all Your name! (Amplified Bible) |
