1 | Did God make snakes? | John 3:14 | Makarios | 46418
Greetings Giam! Yes, God created snakes (Genesis 1:25) and saw that all creation *including snakes* was 'good.' Anyone can express a particular non-acceptance or repulsiveness for any specific animal, much the same way that people can develop an affinity for other animals, such as fish or horses. But when God looked upon what He created, He viewed all of creation as a 'good' thing, rather than being critical of certain genuses or species. Blessings to you, Makarios |

2 | Is hating Satan a sin? | John 3:14 | Giam | 46434
Makarios, Thank u. U are blessed in name and in nature. smile So do u unify or separate the serpent as a representative of both Christ, John 3:14, and Satan, Revelation 12:9? In other words, do u love both Christ and his opposite Satan, and so love the serpent as a rep of each, or do u separate them by loving Christ and loving the snake that reps Him, while hating Satan and hating the snake that reps him? L and R, giam |

3 | Is hating Satan a sin? | John 3:14 | Makarios | 46441
Hello Giam! Thank you! However, I am a bit perplexed as to the imagery and comparisons that you have attributed to the serpent. I believe that John 3:14 is speaking as an illustration, or metaphorical phrase, not as a direct 'representation.' So therefore, I believe that John 3:14 is not saying that a serpent directly represents Christ. However, in Revelation 12:9, we see Satan as being directly referred to as being a 'serpent.' In this sense, it reflects back on Genesis 3:1, where the serpent is "more crafty" than any other beast. But I do not see any connection between our love for Christ and our affinity (or repulsiveness) towards serpents or snakes. I do not believe that such a close comparison or analogy between Christ, love, and snakes is in any way accurate. Blessings to you, Makarios |

4 | Is God really I am who or what I am? | John 3:14 | Giam | 46449
Thanks Makarios! I hear u! But can I be as wise/subtle as a serpent while hating them, and be as harmless as a dove while loving them? See waht I am saying? And what about this? Proverbs 30 18 There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not: 19 The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid. Am I really learning the core about going to ants if I hate them? See what I mean? And since to u, subtle means crafty, what about this? 2 Corinthians 12 15 And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved. 16 But be it so, I did not burden you: nevertheless, being crafty, I caught you with guile. Can I hate the serpent or Satan for being crafty while loving the apostle Paul for being crafty with guile? Wd I not tend to also hate Paula for being like the serpent and snake I hate? See? And when u say this: I do not believe that such a close comparison or analogy between Christ, love, and snakes is in any way accurate, how do u explain Romans 8:35-39 where Hate for any of the creation separates us from the Love of Christ? Romans 8 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, IN ALL these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, NOR ANY OTHER CREATION/CREATURE, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Can we really hate any creature God created and still totally love the Creator of what we hate? See? Looking fwd to your comments. All Love and Respect to u, Giam |

5 | Is God really I am who or what I am? | John 3:14 | Mommapbs | 46466
You asked:"Can we really hate any creature God created and still totally love the Creator of what we hate?" Giam, I hope you have read my post to you by now! Surely you can differentiate between good and evil! Let's also differentiate between the created BEING Satan, and the creation of living things (animals etc). Satan, is an angelic being; he's in a different class from all creation and is even in a class higher than mankind (the Incarnate Jesus was described as being "created a little lower than the angels" See Hebrews 2) Always keep in mind that God called His creation good; but remember who spoiled it? You cite Romans 8:38-39. This is so reassuring, God's love prevails inspite of the influence of sin! NOTHING that God created in heaven (Satan and his followers) or on earth can EVER separate us from HIS love for us! God gives us the choice to love. In the Garden, Satan attempted to steal that love from our Creator. He is still trying to win our hearts today; and we still have the choice: WHO to love? "Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. " Romans 12:9 We can love what is good and hate what is evil - but it's important to recognize the difference! Blessings in Him, Mommapbs |

6 | Is God really I am who or what I am? | John 3:14 | Hank | 46472
Mommapbs. In reference to your saying that Jesus was "created" -- NO HE WAS NOT CREATED!!! You cited Hebrews 2 as a reference, but neither in Hebrews 2 nor in any other place in all Scripture does it ever say that the Son of God was created. Sorry to be so blunt and emphatic, but one can't afford to let this go by without comment and correction. --Hank
7 | Is God really I am who or what I am? | John 3:14 | Mommapbs | 46478
Sorry to offend you Hank; the word used is "made" I thought I had changed it, my error. I hope you don't have trouble with INCARNATE.
8 | Is God really I am who or what I am? | John 3:14 | Hank | 46482
Believe me, Mommapbs, you didn't offend me. There is nothing personal involved in this. When one errs and a fellow Christian corrects, there should be kindness on the part of the one who corrects and thanks on the part of him who is corrected. --Hank
