Free Thinker: Also a quick not on the Passover meal: It was to be free from all forms of leaven (Exodus 12:19). Fermentation is the identical process of leavening! If the bread was to be free from leaven, which is a type of sin, then we can be sure that the wine, a symbol of Jesus' blood, used at the Last Supper would also be free from the poison of alcohol. The perfect, sinless blood of Jesus would never be symbolized by corrupt and putrefying old wine. Matt |

Matt Where was the last Passover Seder you attended held. The wine used in the Seder of Passover is in fact a alcoholic wine. Even though the bread which is the bread baked on the backs of the Hebrews as they left Egypt has no leaven. If it was just grape juice then it would be grape juice now. |
