1 | Was the wine alcoholic or not | John 2:10 | Mommapbs | 84564 | ||
Is 25:6 The LORD of hosts will prepare a lavish banquet for all peoples on this mountain; A banquet of aged wine, choice pieces with marrow, And refined, aged wine. Hi Tim - could we see believers as "new wine" in new wine skins . . .in process . . . until we have been refined and are transformed by the power of God?! We can not mix the dregs of "old fermentation" with who we are in Christ - a NEW creation. We can not become WHO we are in Christ in an "old wine skin" either! Just some thoughts, mommapba |

Greetings Mommapbs! Interesting thoughts my friend! :-) Of course, the original context of the verse in question refers to the inadvisability of mixing old and new. Old patches should not be used on new clothing. New wine should not be placed in old wine skins. The new way of faith cannot be mixed with the old way of legalism (which was the main point of the passage). So, your observations would seem to fall into the same sort of pattern. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
