1 | Who is Jesus? | Matt 24:28 | EdB | 24591 | ||
Lisa What is she seeing in your life that she wants and needs. Early Christians won the Roman empire to Christ by the way they died. They met death without fear and the people saw this and wanted that assurance in their life. I'm not suggesting to die to convince your cousin but what is she seeing or not seeing in your life to convince her you have something she needs? Maybe you should let her see you exercise your faith, tell her something your praying for, then let God be God before her and let her see God move. We as Christians talk a lot about faith but we seldom allow others to see our faith. Show her what you got. And if she sees something she likes the door will open. EdB |

Hi Ed, Thank you for responding. Sorry I didn't get back sooner, but the Lord saw fit to land me on the couch yesterday to learn a thing or two. Have you ever seen Joyce Meyers? "Living the Word" is her program. Great stuff! I'm very open about my Christian life. Up to now, I've thought too open. But here you are telling me what I'm doing is right. Since she loves me so much, she'll "tolerate" my Christianity. But I can't seem to find the right formula to get her to embrace it. She sees me pray. She sees my prayers answered. Coincidence, she says. She sees God use me in amazing ways. Coincidence, she says. She sees me go to church. She sees the peace and joy in me. What more can I do? Yesterday, God lead me to this passage: 1 Corinthians 5 12 What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 13 God will judge those outside. "Expel the wicked man from among you." I think the Lord is trying to tell me not to worry, He'll handle it. Be well, Lisa |

Liza Many times we want things in our time. God is faithful and His timing is perfect. Live a Christian life before her and sooner or later she will see that is more than just coincidence and in God's perfect timing she will seek the Lord. I have seen this happen many times with Christian women and unsaved husbands. They wanted to get in their face and tell them they needed Jesus, but the more they lived the Christian life before their husband the faster they got saved. I know I was one of those guys, my wife was a Christian that got in my face and every time she did I was more resolved that I would never become a believer. God told her to shut up and live before me and within a year I came to Jesus! Praise the Lord for a wife that would listen to the still small voice when all the world said get on him an don't give him peace until he gets saved. One time a woman came to me and asked about her husband, he was unsaved and would not listen to her. She would get up every morning and turn praise and worship music on so loud he couldn't listen to his TV, if he said anything she would usually get the subject on his need for Jesus. She pestered him to death yet nothing worked. I told her to quite being a pain and just live a Christ-like before him caring and taking care of him. She told me I was a pagan! Finally she wore her self out. She gave up on her husband when he threatened divorce. She then started living Christ-like before her husband, putting his needs first in their marriage within a year he was saved. Before that I would have said the man would never be saved. We serve a good God!! EdB |
