1 | Who is Jesus? | Matt 24:28 | casiv | 23714
Hi Lisa, Happy Holidays! You stated above that the above cults are devoted to Christ. Not from what I have read. Albert Pike a Grand Commander and a 33rd degree mason is quoted as saying, "That which we must say to the crowd is: We worship a god, but it is the god that one adores without superstition. To you Sovereign Grand Inspectors General, we say this, that you may repeat it to the brethren of the 32nd, 31st, and 30th degrees: The masonic religion should be, by all of us initiates of the high degrees, maintained in the purity of the luceferian doctrine. If lucifer were not god, would Adonay(Jesus)...calumniate him? Yes, lucifer is god......" these are the words of Albert Pike I found on a website(www.fourlane.com/lindat/masons.htm), see for yourself. Before you promote them as followers of Christ, I would check them out. Not to throw negatives at you, I was just reading the thread you were talking in. Also Jim Jones was a mason, so were the starters of the Jehovah Witness' and the Mormons and I've even read that many of our presidents were highest degree masons. Well I better stop making so many friends, I think you get the point. Do I think all masons know they follow lucifer? NO, I think they have been lured into the craft as they call it, to get illuminated by the mysteries and don't get told until they get real high in degree at which point they must do a great job of convincing(my guess). Pretty strange stuff, my opinion. Peace, Casiv |

Oh no!!! No No. I was NOT promoting them. Not in the SLIGHTEST. I'm glad you pointed out that my post sounded as such! Ick! I was trying pointing out the error in saying a cult was a group who didn't believe in Jesus. There are cults who DO believe in Jesus (or claim to), meaning we need to be just as wary of them. I do agree with you that they are VERY mislead. I had at one time thought all Christians knew Satan is perfectly capable of quoting Scripture. Imagine my dismay to find they aren't aware of this! Blessings on you! Lisa |

3 | Who is Jesus? | Matt 24:28 | EdB | 24220
Lisa I do not know of any cult that believes in Jesus. They may believe in a man called Jesus but if you listen to what they say about this man it certainly ain't Jesus the begotten Son of God. Mormons for instance believe in a person they call Jesus but this Jesus was the spirit brother of Satan. No way this is Jesus the Son of God. Jehovah Witness believe in a person called Jesus but this man was once the archangel Michael again there isn't a way this is Jesus the Son of God. David Koresh preached Jesus but this Jesus told Koresh’s followers to kill people and to have free sex. Again this isn’t Jesus born of a virgin, the only begotten of God. Just using the name does not mean we are talking about the same person. Many cults deceive many with this tactic. Before you say there are many cults that believe in Jesus first find out who their Jesus is. You will find in all cases this person to be different than Jesus the Son of God. Blessing to you!! EdB |

Hi Ed, I don't think you've quite gotten the grasp of my point. My point was that Tim (I think) had defined a cult in terms of Jesus alone. Which just doesn't work. What you've said here has aligns exactly with what I've said. You can't define a cult by Jesus. A cult is defined by an unhealthy fanaticism. Make sense? Lisa |
