1 | Rapture - Bodies or souls disappear? | Matt 24:27 | HeirofGod | 658
The Rapture and the Glorious Appearing are two different events. Left Behind is talking about the Rapture, Matthew 24 is talking about the Glorious Appearing. Our bodies will disappear on the day the Rapture takes place or there will be no mystery for those who are left behind. If the bodies are left they will only think we have died but we will be very much alive. We will have our bodies with us they just will not be the corruptible bodies we have now. Remember when Jesus rose from the dead and he went back to the house where the disciples were? He just appeared in the room but he could be touched(Luke 24:39). Matthew 24 is saying that every eye will see him when he returns. The Rapture is only for the saints, so only we will see him in the sky. The Glorious Appearing is for Judgment this is when we the saints that were raptured return with him to Judge the world(those left behind that did not get saved during the tribulation period). This computer won't leave me alone enough to type all the scriptures that go with the different events so I will send them later if you are interested.
2 | Rapture - Bodies or souls disappear? | Matt 24:27 | Paso | 175576
there will be noone left behind when Jesus takes us up. If you read 1 thes 5:3 it says sudden destruction will come upon them... and they shall not escape ! And also read Matt 24:36-37 " But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be....took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be". They were taken away in judgement, not left behind to get another chance. No one in Naohs day had another chance! Also another verse is in 2 thes 2:1-12, read thru and when you come to 12 it says that they all(unbelievers) may be condemned who did not believe the truth... It just sounds to me like when jesus comes to get the believers (rapture) there will be no 2nd chances for the people left behind.!! Sorry, to all you LEFT BEHIND book readers.

Greetings Paso and welcome to the forum, I agree with you; if we are to be taken out of here “before the tribulation” what difference would it make if we were deceived or not? The warning by Paul is for believers, showing them that the rapture won’t take place until “after” the working of the man of sin. 2 Thes. 2:3-5 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; [4] Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. [5] Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? The tribulation period is the working of the man of sin specifically pointed at God’s chosen people. The 70th week of Denial’s will resume and the body of Christ will have their faith tested to the limit. Rev. 12:13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. That’s none other then Israel and the man child was Jesus Christ and when Satan can’t accomplish all his way with Israel he goes after the Christians. Rev. 12:16-17 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. [17] And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. The word saved as we see it in the English also means delivered and in the next verse it’s a reference to the rapture. Matthew 24:13-15 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. [14] And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. [15] When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Again, why even mention this to believes, if they aren't going to have to endure the persecution of the one spoken of by Denial and if the rapture happens before this action take place? 1 Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: If the rapture occurs before the tribulation there in no big trial of faith as suggested by Peter. It would appear that many believers who hold to the concept, of no tribulation for the children of God have fallen victim to the message of deception already. Their argument is that the warnings are for the “tribulational” saints and that the church has already been removed. The fact is “all saints” have the right to claim the promises of God, in all periods of history, and the next verse is for all of God’s family. 1 Thes. 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, God’s wrath will not take place until after the tribulation and the sudden removal of his chosen ones; then God’s wrath of fire will be loosed on those left behind. 2 Thes. 1:8-10 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: [9] Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; Notice “WHEN” this wrath will happen! [10] When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, (There is the Rapture and wrath timing verse.) It's all on the same day just like it was for Lot! Have a great day and enjoy the forum, CDBJ |
