1 | Why did Jesus say "never again?" | Matt 24:21 | CDBJ | 78736
Hello Taleb, I don’t see the footprint of and great tribulation that happened 2000 years ago by any stretch of the imagination. If you are talking about the time when SPQR besieged Jerusalem it doesn’t fit the scenario because when the great tribulation is over it will mark the end of the times of the Genitals. The siege on Jerusalem, is for all practical, the scattering of the Jews, a time known as the Diaspora and they didn't return until 1948, so there was no covenant made at that time and that is without a doubt obvious. In order for the Jews to make a covenant with the one we call the Antichrist they must occupy the Holy City; this didn’t happen until the seven-day war. Paul tell us of an event that never happened when the Legions of Titus invaded Israel because no one tried to set them selves up to be worshiped. 2 Thes. 2:1-4 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. The verses mentioned will be in the future and they haven’t happened as yet, as Paul describes the events. The period that Daniel describes as the seventieth week will not begin until the Jews sign covenant of protection. Daniel 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. Israel will be content with their covenant of deception for 3 ½ years and then the deceiver who made the pact with them will turn on them to destroy them and when he does those in Jerusalem will only have moments to make it out of the city to a place of safety. It will be worse then it was during Hitler’s reign of terror. Those that aren’t prepared for this onslaught of the adversary will be facing the worst persecutions the world has ever seen. Don’t be deceived that it has happened already or you won’t be ready! Isaiah describes this same condition that Daniel spoke of along with Jesus and Paul and lastly John in Revelation. Isaiah 28:15-18 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: 16Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste. 17Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place. 18And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it. Matthew 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Rev. 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. The short time is actually measured in other places as 3 ½ years or the last half of Daniel’s seventieth week. CDBJ |

2 | Why did Jesus say "never again?" | Matt 24:21 | Taleb | 78822
CDBJ, we agree on SO many points. Let me show you which ones according, to when my agreement starts. 2 Thes. 2:1-4. I agree with what Paul wrote here. AND I agree it is connected with Dan 9:27, BUT I also note that the 27th verse is connected to the 23rd. through the 26th. There lies the clues that your “book” failed to point out to you. Daniel gives us exactly 490 years from when the city was decreed to be rebuilt until the desolation would happen. And please note that rebuilding started before Christ was born. Hello? I agree with this statement you made – 100 percent. “Isaiah describes this same condition that Daniel spoke of along with Jesus and Paul and lastly John in Revelation.” If you want specifics on about THEIR FULFILLMENTS you have to accept what HIS-story tells us – because the only thing left is “Prophesy books” that can’t do the math, that too often disprove themselves, and have no Scriptures to back up their false conceptions. Actually, I agree with MOST of the rest of your post, knowing the Scripture words were written with the author’s future in mind, BUT NOT OUR FUTURES. From HIS-story we know what they said was going to happen has happened. But your statement, “Because when the great tribulation is over it will mark the end of the times of the Genital, confused me. HUH? Surely your not thinking that the Rev.11:2 trodden for 42 months means something other than the 42 months the Romans warred in the streets of Jerusalem in the first century? In actuality, it was a few days more, but…. then Concerning the Jews returning to Israel as being a sign is A FRAUD. Name me one prophecy where it says they shall return – which hasn’t ALREADY BEEN FULFILLED. Because there is NO EVIDENCE in Scripture that says one prophecy can have two separate fulfillments, I don’t buy into that deception either. And many of my Jewish relatives will tell you the same thing. During the seven-day war was when the antichrist did what? Interesting, isn’t it, what a prophecy book can “prove”? Speaking of antichrist, have you read what John wrote in 1 John 4:3? He wrote it not of their future, but THEIR "THEN". “But the spirit of AntiChrist, whose coming you were warned about. Well, NOW HE IS HERE, IN THE WORLD.” And either the ANTICHRIST WAS IN THE WORLD, OR JOHN LIED. The antichrist DID all that Jesus, and Paul, etc. said he would do. HIS-story explains it very accurately. That is unless that is another one of those prophecies that have more than one fulfillment. :) But take heart, at least we agreed on some major points. For that we are pleased. :) Respectfully, Taleb Don’t be deceived that it has NOT happened already. :) |

I really don’t know what you meant by your statement “During the seven-day war was when the antichrist did what?” I will just copy what I posted earlier as you must not have read it correctly; I didn’t say the Antichrist did anything all I said was that it was impossible for the Jews to sign a covenant with him before 1967 due to the fact that they didn’t control the Holy city until then. Previous post, The siege on Jerusalem, is for all practical purposes, the scattering of the Jews, a time known as the Diaspora and they didn't return until 1948, so there was no covenant made at that time and that is without a doubt obvious. In order for the Jews to make a covenant with the one we call the Antichrist they must occupy the Holy City; this didn’t happen until the seven-day war. Since you made the statement, “Because there is NO EVIDENCE in Scripture that says one prophecy can have two separate fulfillments, I don’t buy into that deception either. And many of my Jewish relatives will tell you the same thing.” I would suggest that you pick up a copy of a book by Marvin Rosenthal called, The Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Church. Marvin is the executive director of Zion’s Hope and for sixteen years he was the editor of one of evangelicalism’s leading magazines, Israel My Glory. He is a noted and much-in-demand speaker at biblical prophecy conferences in North America. I encourage reading his book and then we will talk more on the subject as I don’t intend to write his book of the forum that covers just about everything you say you don’t go along with: In Marvin's book it is all backed up with numerous verses along with historical proof, if that’s what you want. Have a nice day and get a copy of Marvin's book, CDBJ |
