Bible Question: IF the great tribulation is yet to come right before the end of the world, why did Jesus say, “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be?” If time is to end at the end of the tribulation – why the emphasis that there won’t be anymore that could compare with it? |
Bible Answer: You write: "If time is to end at the end of the tribulation..." If time is to end? The King James Version says: "that there should be time no longer:" Re 10:6 (KJV) And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: The NASB says: "that there will be DELAY no longer, " NASB Revelation 10:6 and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, WHO CREATED HEAVEN AND THE THINGS IN IT, AND THE EARTH AND THE THINGS IN IT, AND THE SEA AND THE THINGS IN IT, that there will be delay no longer, The Amplified Bible says: "that NO MORE TIME SHOULD INTERVENE and there should be NO MORE WAITING OR DELAY." AMPLIFIED Revelation 10:6 And swore in the name of (by) Him Who lives forever and ever, Who created the heavens (sky) and all they contain, and the earth and all that it contains, and the sea and all that it contains. [He swore] that no more time should intervene and there should be no more waiting or delay, If time is to end? NASB Revelation 22:2 in the middle of its street.
