1 | What is the abomination of desolation? | Matt 24:15 | ominous | 157671
no! i think it would be unwise to be confident in my salvation. as we all have things to work on in ourselves. even if we don't offend outwardly (in actions), we still offend inwardly (in thoughts). we must continually strive for improvement, but i am confident, in the hope, that i might be saved! it's the Lord's way of keeping us humble. the more we read (and contemplate), the more we realize that we need work! i hope i am understanding your question.
2 | What is the abomination of desolation? | Matt 24:15 | CDBJ | 157699
Greetings Ominous, That was an interesting and very honest statement that you posted and I thank you for being so truthful and sincere. Just to reiterate, I ask you, “have you come to the level yet where you can say for certain that you have eternal life?” Your answer, if I understand you right was that it would be unwise for you to be confident in your salvation. What exactly would God have to do, to actually convince you, that He was thoroughly satisfied with what His Son did for you on the cross? How could God assure you that you have eternal, right here and now? Wouldn’t it be great to know that you have and eternal place in heaven assured and that you could never loose it? Have a great day, CDBJ |
