Bible Question (short): What is the abomination of desolation? |
Question (full): I read that the jewish nation plans to rebuild Solomon's Temple.Though they are having problems deciding on an exact location, they intend to build it some where in Jerusalem, if not in the original location. This would cause turmoil in the middle east (as if there isn't enough already!) as opposing nations all try to stake their claim of the Holy Land. since the Temple was a symbol of God's peace, and he allowed it to be destroyed as a sign that there would be no peace concerning that region until the return of his Son to rule in righteousness, this temple is the will of man and not God! Is it possible then that this is what Christ spake of in matthew 24:15 "The Abomination of Desolation?" |
