1 | Jesus' thoughts on child abuse | Matt 18:6 | Lookn4ward2Heavn | 187523
Jesus had a child on his lap when he said this. It would not be wrong to take it literally and connect it to the topic of child abuse. KJV: "But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were thrown in the depth of the sea." |

2 | Jesus' thoughts on child abuse | Matt 18:6 | elmer | 187525
Wow! this verse is much more symbolic than I first imagined. It starts by teaching . . to be 'like a child' is the purest form of holiness (-paraphrased). "Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?" And He called a child to Himself and set him before them . . . - Matt. 18.6 -Touches the very core of being a Christian. -Perfectly illustrates the utter depravity of abusing a child. thanks for your reply - L.Mer |
