Ok now you're scaring me, LOL. Are you suggesting I may be sinning or something for defending the word of God, for presenting alternatives to the atheists, for presenting the truth that exists in my heart? I usually do not back away from any flogging of the word of God. My gut feeling is that these youth/adults are seeking the truth or at least alternative theories regarding the Bible. There are those who only want to spit on even the idea of God and I generally do not respond to those. But if there is a legitimate question, no matter how bazaar it may seem, I will at least make an effort to respond. Currently I am reading, "The Case for Faith" by Lee Strobel". I want to continue with "The Case for Christ." Right now as I present quotes from this book, the questions are coming fast and furious wanting to know more or perhaps challenging the findings of this journalist. Never the less I think it's a worthy effort to at least try and present alternatives. Thank you again for the advice. Cuidate, V |

Vanessa, you keep on sowing seeds in the lives of those teens and don't let anyone tell you to stop! I've listened to many testimonies on 700 Club of former atheists and skeptics who are now born-again Christians. Josh McDowell is one. I bet his heart wasn't open to the gospel message the first time he heard it. And I wonder where his soul would be now if after the first attempt of sharing the Word with Josh the person "went on to the someone else whose heart is open." I also heard the author of "A Skeptic's Search For God" share his testimony. Can't remember his name but I'm sure the book is still offered on CBN.com website. As far as what Jesus looked like, well, He was Jewish. Wouldn't it stand to reason He would have looked like an average Jewish man: olive complextion, dark hair and eyes, beard. Isa. 53:2 says there is nothing in His outward appearance that would make us "desire Him" ("delight" in Him, per Strong's Exhaustive Concordance). So, you keep on reaching out to those precious lost souls. "One sows, another waters" but it is God Who gives the increase! |

MrsBinGA, Ahh those words are food for my soul thank you so much. I can't tell you the backlash I get sometimes for presenting other ideas or even other theories besides evolution for example. This morning was especially trying on the MTV board. I don’t' think that I am very convincing and really I don't know that I want to be, I just want to present other options and as you say "God gives the increase.” I did answer that question on the MTV board, just as you and others have described. The folks here have been a great help and I'm very appreciative of all the responses. Thank you so much for those encouraging words. It was a true blessing to hear this morning. All the best to you, Cuidate, V |
