You are so right. They shouldn't change or alter any words. As much as I dislike reading the KJB I tend to believe it is more direct to proper meaning. Each subsequent Bible translation seems to take the translators ideas, right or wrong and amplifiy them. I have looked up more that 22000 greek words over my 28 year study of the Bible, digging for Truth. There is much error. Here is an interesting key to use when reading the Bible and searching for God. If when you are reading or hearing a teacher about God if it is the Truth it will feel wonderful. You see, all aspects of God are peace, joy, kindness, meekness, love etc.! If someone is telling you gloom and doom and pain and suffering etc. it can only be for a non-believer. All Truth from God produces feelings that are good, warm, loving etc.is for believers. Thats the God within you that you feel. One last thing, Jesus was the end of the world. Jesus was the end of time.(Luke 16:16, Matt11:13, Luke 24:24) All was fulfilled in Jesus when he came to earth. It is finished. After his death he returned to the earth at least six or seven times. Now Jesus is manifest in an earthen body again every time a human accepts him as Lord.Theres so much more, maybe in time. with Love, FTK

FTK, Feelings are no guarantee for truth. We can be railroaded by our feelings when our focus isn't on God and His Word. Does all truth from God always produce those kind of feelings and only those feelings. This applies to all, believer and unbeliever alike. Could you support your conclusion with scripture. In Him, lionheart |

lionheart:Feelings are always a response to a stimuli. Something you see, hear, read,or think will cause feelings. You can even make up a situation in your mind that doesn't exist and your body will respond with feelings commensurate with the thoughts. The Bible can be read to find tribulation, pain and suffering (for the non believing) or peace and joy in Christ. The New Testament is the great and terrible day of the Lord. Its great for those made perfect in Christ, and is is terrible for the lost sinners. If you search for the love of God you will find it. If you follow doctrines of pain and suffering that is what you will find. After all we are reading the Gospel of God, the good news of God. Peace, FTK

Dear FTK, You say: The Bible can be read to find tribulation, pain and suffering (for the non believing).... Do you mean that tribulation, affliction, pain, suffering are for non believing only while a believer will never expereince them? Are you saying there is no teaching of pain and suffering in the Bible for believers? Did you read the book of Job? What about Roman 8:16-25? Rom 9:1-3? 1 Cor 4:11-13? 2 Cor 7:8-11? Shalom Azure |
