Bible Question (short): Is Isaiah 14 talking about Satan? |
Question (full): Hello, I know this is an old thread, but has anyone considered that Isaiah 14 isn't talking about Satan? Chapter 13 starts out saying that it is an oracle concerning Babylon and this continues on straight through chapter 14. In 14:4, the Lord speaks of how they will taunt the king of Babylon. Verse 10 still seems to be speaking of the king of Babylon as does verse 11. Why is it believed that verse 12 abruptly switches to talking about Satan and then somewhere before verse 22 switches back to Babylon again? confused??? |
