Bible Question:
Doc: I am not aware of how many Greek words their are. In fact I have no idea how many English words there are either. Is there Greek Dictionary that has that many (22,000) words in it? If there is such a Dictionary what would I look to order such a book? I am certian I do not have 28 years left to live, but I would really enjoy such a Dictionary. Thank you for your assistance. Bible Answer: Hi, Justme... I think that the NT has something under 6,000 unique Greek words. If I had 28 years, I would have spent the first few at least in learning to read Greek. Of course, that's hindsight. I've only been a believer about ten years. Maybe I have another twenty ahead of me. However, I find that there is too much to study as it is, without "infrastructure" studies. I'm glad, though, that my pastor and elders are read Greek! :-) In Him, Doc |
