You are so right. They shouldn't change or alter any words. As much as I dislike reading the KJB I tend to believe it is more direct to proper meaning. Each subsequent Bible translation seems to take the translators ideas, right or wrong and amplifiy them. I have looked up more that 22000 greek words over my 28 year study of the Bible, digging for Truth. There is much error. Here is an interesting key to use when reading the Bible and searching for God. If when you are reading or hearing a teacher about God if it is the Truth it will feel wonderful. You see, all aspects of God are peace, joy, kindness, meekness, love etc.! If someone is telling you gloom and doom and pain and suffering etc. it can only be for a non-believer. All Truth from God produces feelings that are good, warm, loving etc.is for believers. Thats the God within you that you feel. One last thing, Jesus was the end of the world. Jesus was the end of time.(Luke 16:16, Matt11:13, Luke 24:24) All was fulfilled in Jesus when he came to earth. It is finished. After his death he returned to the earth at least six or seven times. Now Jesus is manifest in an earthen body again every time a human accepts him as Lord.Theres so much more, maybe in time. with Love, FTK | ||||||

Hello FTK, Welcome to the Forum. Possibly you could enlighten me on a couple items?: 1. In regard to Bible translations, you state, "There is much error". That's a very general statement. Can you provide specific examples?; 2.You also state, "Truth it will feel wonderful", and "All Truth from God produces feelings that are good, warm, loving" Quite honestly, this seems foreign to Biblical theology! Do you have solid scriptural support for this notion? Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |

In translation from greek to english there is a great latitude for the translator to interpret the way he believes the orator intended.Heres a point. In the KJB their is a scripture where Jesus says, "heaven and earth will pass away but my words will not pass". If you look up the greek word that was translated "pass" you will find that it can be interpreted as, to come or to go away. Thats two different directions, same word.I have looked up over 22000 greek words in my 28 year study.I really try not to say they are right or wrong but sometimes they seem to translate to fit already preconcieved doctrins. The New Testament is the Gospel or good news from God.The good news is that Jesus has handed us a clean slate.Jesus has taken away our sin. If you belive you recieve. If you belive you are somehow still a sinner or that you sin every day or don't know that you sin, that is a lie. That is not the Truth.Sadly, decievers will come and tell you how just believing isn't enough. You neen to...?You gotta...? That is incorrect. What God has cleansed is clean. If you hold fast to the Truth that you are righteous, clean, and perfect before God,through Christ no matter what you do or don't do, then your judgement has come, you are perfect. If you believe what I just wrote,my guess is you feel pretty good. Thats God! The Truth is Good news. Love to all, FTK |
