Taleb Help me understand something. You came to the forum asking basic novice type questions. Then later you posted suggesting you were an Bible expert. Later you posted very pro Islamic propaganda and now you claim to have a Jewish brother. In that post you contribute things to Jewish belief that are simply not true. No real Jew believes in reincarnation, or that Satan was created as God’s evil pawn. If he was truly a Messianic Jew, he would cling to the teaching of Jesus with Nicodemus where Jesus clearly told Nicodemus that man must be born again. You said your brother came home drunk and that is out of character for any true Christian. No Messianic teaching exists where the soul lingers over the house until an infant to which they can inhabit is born. All Messianic Jews hold and treasure the New Testament book of Hebrews which clearly refutes reincarnation in Hebrew 9:27. Also the concept of being born again is taught in 6 doctrines of the church as seen in Hebrews 6:1-2. Interestingly you were referring to Hebrews in another post using it as if you were very familiar with it which I now seriously question. So how about it what is the real story? EdB |

EdB, run, don’t walk, to your nearest library. Grab the thickest “Jewish Encyclopedia” on the shelf. These encyclopedias, according to the one I have available in my home, “hope to extend and make available Jewish knowledge to JEWS”. You wrote, “No real Jew believes in reincarnation, or that Satan was created as God’s evil pawn.” In that same library book, look up “Kabbalah” (or, Cabalah). (which basically means "tradition") The book will explain that the major teachings of Jewish "tradition" include – (I'm quoting from one of my own, which says the same thing as some I have given away.) “God did NOT create the world personally…” “The Jews were chosen to preserve the created world…” "Impure and contaminated souls, MUST, after death, reinhabit another body, and then another, until they have purified.” (This world-wide Jewish teaching sure has the tone of reincarnation to me.) Look up the word “satan”. It will explain about the creation of the archangel (satan) whose functions are to tempt man to sin … he has no independent power, but appears only as a servant of God, whose permission he must seek …” While you have the encyclopedia in your hands, look up “Death”. You will read how “Hell is for 12 months max. It will tell you some Jews believe everybody, (Jews and Goys), will have a part in the world to come. The real wicked will be disintegrated. Or, save the trip. There are numerous Jewish Encyclopedias on the net. They ALL will show you the same thing. You also stated, “All Messianic Jews hold and treasure the New Testament book of Hebrews.” EdB, IF they held and treasured what the book of Hebrews says, they CAN'T BE Messianic "JEWS". They can only be pure and simple (No Jew, No Gentile) "Christians". Messianic Jews “Love only the Shadow” of Him who came. If they can't stop believing the "fundamentals" (feasts, etc.) of what ALL Jews believe and add Jesus to the mix - what do you suppose happens? I have witnessed exactly what happens. Every Jew, every Gentile, must count as rubbish ALL the "pre-born-again-traditons" in order to be set free to worship Him in spirit and in TRUTH. Why EMBRACE the shadow of your wife, when, if the "shadow" is present so is she? And as far as the other “jumped to conclusions” you charged ME with in your letter, like my brother coming home drunk – “AMEN!” and I wasn’t a follower of Jesus when I told my brother the same thing. You feel I presented “very pro Islamic propaganda”? I thought I was being pro-people towards those who believe a lie by building on what we DO believe together. Do you walk up to a JW co-worker and say, “Hey, Liar, I want to talk to you about how wrong that paper is you gave me.” Or would it not be better to say? “Hey, Clayton, can I take you out for lunch? I have some questions about what your paper The Watch Tower stated.” Does the second way mean I am “Pro-JW?” As far as your being "surprised" I have Jewish relatives, check out the profile someone, early on, suggested I post, which I did eons ago. Other postings about my “having enough Jewish blood in me to have been sent to the furnaces in Germany”, apparently were never seen. As for your comment about something I wrote about when you wrote: "Interestingly you were referring to Hebrews in another post using it as if you were very familiar with it which I now seriously question." Huh? Could you please elaborate? Thanks. Blessings, NOW you know “the rest of the story”. Taleb |

Taleb First Kabbalah is Jewish mysticism that no orthodox Jew takes seriously. I'm fairly well versed it's teaching and don't need further research to tell you it is a myth or fairy tell invented by those that suppose they have enlightened knowledge but are in fact deceived themselves. It is birthed in a form of Gnosticism that has plagued the early church and is very much and alive and well in the church today. For you to contribute any part of their teaching to authentic Judaism or Messianic Jewish belief is absurd. I knew the teachings you were expounding was coming from Kabbalah when you said it I was wondering if you did. And since you do then you also know what you were presenting as orthodox Judaism or Messianic Judaism was patently false. Then I ask why would you do it? You comments about Messianic Jews holding on to old traditions however reflects one of my main concerns their desire to stay under the aspects of the Law they consider as yet to be fulfilled. However I stand on my contention that they hold the Book of Hebrews dear and while their understanding or interpretation on various passages may be different than mine, they clearly understand reincarnation does not exist, and they are free from the religious/social laws of Judaism. Yes I’m very surprised you have Jewish relatives from your expressed views of Islam and the Palestinian situation. In fact I would say you are anti-Semitic or have strong leanings that way. If not then you hold to replacement theology and that is nearly as bad. I heard your claims of Jewish blood, but I also read what you wrote. As to your references on Hebrews read this thread you have made a few here and yet you seem unknowing of the basic teaching the book contains. Quite frankly you have been all over the board. Your either playing some game and your not as cleaver as you thought and got yourself caught or your inventing things. What your saying does not add up and I would just like to understand your intentions. EdB |
