Check out Galatians 5:16-26. This response is in reference to 1 Corinthians 12:1-3. Being filled with the Holy Spirit means controlled by the Holy Spirit. Satan is the accuser, and desires to destroy the works of Christ. The idols of today are anything that draws our focus away from God: impure thoughts, aquiring possessions, another human being, or self worth. The test is, the fruit of our lips. For out of the heart comes all kinds of evil, our heart is the seat of our choices. Satan takes control through the temptation of our flesh. The control of Satan is manifested by our words, and actions. If we are under the control of the flesh, then Jesus is cursed, but if we are controlled by the Holy Spirit, we claim Jesus as Lord. Lord means Sovereign One. Is Jesus Lord of your life? |

Nobody speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus acursed, and nobody can truly call Jesus Lord but by the Holy Spirit. I Cor 12 They which mind the things of the spirit are of the spirit, and that which is flesh is flesh. Romans 8 Galations 5 also states by walk in the the Spirit and you will NOT walk in the flesh. Jesus said man being evil would give his child bread if he asked for it, how much more God will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask. Don't give the adversary more authority than he has! |
