2 | explain Mark 15:34 | Mark | Jdrummer | 114490
This is only my opinion but I think because the human side of Jesus was thinking like the rest of us do in times of tragedy. And that is, where is God in all this and why did he let it happen? This actually had to happen for Jesus to save us. He had to think, feel and live as a human to save us from our sins. Maybe someone else can explain this better. Hope this was some help.
3 | Man or man? | Mark | Ray | 141463
Hi Jdrummer, Psalm 22, NASB, has the "forsaken me" in lower case in verse 1, and verse 6 explains that "I am a worm, and not a man." So Jesus is remembering this song of David while on the cross. However, He was not just a man in the midst of a tragedy, He was truly the Son of God. That is why I go with the NKJ for Mark 15:39, "Truly this Man [sic] was the Son of God." So, Psalm 22 says to my mind, "Why hast Thou forsaken me?" [David]; and Mark 15:34, "Why hast Thou forsaken Me?" [This Man Jesus Christ]. So my question continues to be "Why do people continue to think of Jesus as a human rather than His [sic] being in the likeness of men?" What do you think? From the heart, Ray |

5 | Man or man? | Mark | BradK | 141466
Hi Janae, Yes, Christ is indeed the God-man, yet He never ceased being God when He hung on the cross. You're not saying that He "wasn't" God when he was on the cross are you? Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |

6 | Man or man? | Mark | Praise Be To God | 141467
Hi, BradK, Yes, that is what I was saying. He had to live a perfect sinless life as a man and go to the cross for us as a man. God cannot look at sin. When Jesus was on the cross, He took all of our sins, past, present and future, upon himself. Janae |

7 | Man or man? | Mark | Ray | 141470
Hi Praise be to God, If Jesus took the sins of the world on "himself" then He is a "god" who is not able to save. John 1:1 says that "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God [sic]. 2 He [This One] was in the beginning with God." From the heart, Ray |
